The creatures roamed through the night sky, their skeletal and inhuman bodies glowing in the moonlight. Black and Gram braced themself, positioning the light and aiming it at the approaching creatures. Black still could vaguely hear White's cry, though the creature's screeches were louder. He nodded at Gram, trying to ignore his brother's feelings coming to him through their connection. His eyes focused on the Hell Hole's creature, waiting.

"Now!" Black screamed at his friend. Gram pressed the button. The darkness spread apart as the ray of light coming from the halogen bulbs cut through it. The creature halted, making a painful high-pitched sound as the first ray fell on its greyish skin. Black watched the creature's skin turning dark, the smoke coming out of it. It didn't take long for black parts to become ash and vanish into thin air, and the creature was no more.

It was working. His baby brother was right. Black couldn't help but grin proudly.

"Watch out. it's not over!" Gumpa yelled from inside, pointing at another creature coming their way. Black inhaled deeply. He shouldn't lose focus just yet. They aimed at the creature nearest to them and watched how it turned into ash too. It was fascinating seeing the nightmare die.

"At your right!" Gumpa shouted. Gram and Black hurriedly turned, but the creature was too fast. The wind from the wings makes them stumble, almost losing their grip on the light.

"Fuck." Black cursed. They were slow. There was no way they could aim at the creature in time without getting attacked. Before reluctantly abandoning the light, he considered the options and pulled Gram by his jacket.

"Run!" He commanded. Both of them sprinted toward the entrance. He could feel the presence of the hungry creature behind them. Black speeded up as much as his tired muscles allowed him, the adrenalin in his veins helping him out. He didn't dare to look back, focusing on the hole in the wall. His eyes met his brother, waiting for him, urging him to move faster. Black didn't know he could be this fast. He sprung through the entrance, jumping in his baby brother's arms, making them both fall. He managed to spot Gram inside the building from the corner of his eye.

"P' Black." White sobbed, burying his tear-stained face in the crook of his neck.

"I am here. It's okay." Black whispered into White's ear, pulling him onto his lap, rocking them back and forth.

"You did it." He patted his twin's head.

"I am so proud of you." Black continued to praise him. White's sobs subsided after a while, and he pulled away from his neck.

"I thought I lost you." He whispered.

"You will never lose me. Not now, when we have a weapon to fight." Black smiled as he kissed his baby brother's head. He was so proud of White.
