White hesitated. He glanced at his brother punching the gym sack and then at Sean sitting next to him. The taller male was easy to talk to, and he made him feel things he thought he would never experience himself. He bit his lower lip, feeling the sudden hate rising in him. White knew who it belonged to. He slowly stood up, excusing himself, and strolled towards his brother. The sweat formed on his forehead, and he was frowning. White assumed it was partly his fault, even though he didn't know why.
"P'Black?" He whispered, hoping to get his twin's attention.
"What? Done flirting with that asshole?" Black snarled, throwing a hard punch at the sandbag.
"What are you talking about, P'" White's eyes widened.
"You two were all chummy back there." Black pointed out casually, but White could hear the hidden venom in his voice. He blinked a few times before the realization hit him. A big smile formed on his face. He skipped closer to his older brother, capturing him in his arms and preventing him from moving.
"You don't have to be jealous. White likes P'Black the best." He whispered into Black's ear before he loudly kissed his cheek.
"I am not jealous," Black growled but didn't push his brother away.
"Let go. I am all sweaty." He added that to act tough.
"And smelly." White nodded.
"Whatever." Black rolled his eyes, making him giggle. He let his twin take off the gloves before he dragged him back to the sofas, pushing him down next to Sean, who was still sitting in the same spot. White didn't have to say anything, and the taller male was already making room for him next to Black.
"Thank you, P'Sean." White beamed, plopping down between the two. Gumpa was already in his usual spot, waiting.
"I assume you figured something out?" Gumpa asked. White nodded.
"I found some notes that seemed interesting. I am not entirely sure if I am right, though." He tilted his head unsurely.
"I asked P'Sean a few questions, but all I have is a theory." White paused. He felt Black's arm sneaking around his shoulder, pulling him closer to his side.
"Go on." Gumpa urged him to continue.
"It looks like the creatures don't like light. They come out only at night or when it's cloudy."
"We all know that," Yok whined. Black's grip on his shoulder tightened, but before he could open his mouth, Sean was already talking.
"Let him continue, Yok."
White smiled at him and resumed his speech.
"I asked P'Sean about the fire and fireworks you used. And it seems like they didn't like it. It's the same with street lamps and car reflectors. It doesn't scare them for long, though. So maybe we need something more powerful? Something similar to the sun? They can be vulnerable to something in the sun's glow. Like UV." White finished his theory. The garage was silent for a while before Gram spoke up.
"Wow. White, you are smart."
The whole gang nodded, making him shy.
"I am so fucking proud of you." Black smiled, smoothing his forehead. They gasped at his twin's behaviour, but he was too embarrassed to care.
"So what do we need to do to bring redemption to this nation?" Yok joked, but no one was laughing. The tricky part comes now.
