Once Upon a Tea( Slow Update)

Chapter 3

Today, is Sunday morning and I'm here with Darren in garden, cover in mud. We both woke up early and potted new plants that I bought and redecorate the garden. 

"What are you to doing here!", Nick said from the porch. You could clearly tell that he just woke up from droll run on side of his face.

"Just you know finding a fairy would be our thing Nick, and we also found a cute little gnome, just for you", I said to him in my sweetest voice. He look at us with his mouth open at which Darren laugh out loud.

"Son, we are just doing some gardening as you can see", Darren said to Nick, "And go wash you face now" He added as he laugh on his son.

We both laughed and continue putting our last plant as Nick grumble about teaming up against him. We finished or work and kept all our tools in garage. we both went inside to find Lisa making breakfast for everyone.

"Both of you take a shower and come down", Lisa said as she continued with the breakfast.

As we all sat down and were having our breakfast, my phone started ringing and it was from my ad agency.

"Hello, Nicole I know tomorrow's photo-shoot is final I have already sent the confirmation. ",,I said as I know what she was about to say.

"Miss Knight, we got a problem here actually. Our photographer met with an accident and is injured right now. ", Nicole said from the phone in stressful voice.

"Is he alright, nothing serious", I asked to her.

"No, mam but he got his hand fractured and was suggested to take rest fir a week." she said very fast and in  fear.

"Okay, so what is the problem then", I asked her.

"Mam, we don't have any photographer", she said more like a whispered, she is afraid that I might fire her.

"Well, that is a problem, but we are not canceling the shoot and we are getting it done on the schedule." I said quiet calmly to her.

"But, mam their are no photographer available tomorrow", she said as this was a problem.

"Oh, actually we have a photographer Nicole is their anything you want to ask." I said to her.

"No, mam that would be all, I will make all the arrangements", she said and wish me a good day and ended the call.

I cut the call as I set my mobile on the table, everyone was looking at me. 

" So, Nick I think its the best time I put a offer for you, will you be our companies photographer. This would be an exclusive contract with you and it depends on you how much long you want this contract to be but not less then six months, your pay would be higher than our previous photographer and because you are my brother you can add anything on this if you want." I said to him which was a surprise for everyone. 

Well you see Nick is an amazing photographer, but he will do small exhibition's and other stuff. Our previous photographer was starting to give us a hard time but we made a contract that if he got injured and is not able to shoot for us for three months than our contract would be null and void. I always wanted Nick to work at his best potential.

"Grace are you sure about this, we already are in a contract which can't be broken until next year", Lisa said with a concern laced in his voice.

"Mom, he met with an accident and got a fracture too. I know for almost Six month he can't work properly. And their was a clause that said we can hire anyone if he is not able to provide us with work constantly for three months", I told her and everyone with details.

"Are you sure about this, Grace", Nick asked in a shaky voice.

"Nick, you are my brother I always wanted you their and this is my offer to you." I said to him as I continued "If you don't like it you can leave after tomorrow but please be with try to work with us tomorrow." I said in the most soft voice.

He was thinking about it and I was waiting so was everyone. We all were hoping for the best out come, Lisa was excited she always wanted Nick to work with us.

"Okay, I'll work with you as a permanent photographer", he said with a smile.

Lisa jumped and hugged him we all congratulated Nick and then ate our food while talking about other stuff, it was quiet nice to know that now Zack was also in New York, as police chief their and it was suppose to be a surprise for everyone, but lets because I have given a job which is also in New York he also told everyone.

We were just cleaning up after our breakfast, when the door bell ring. Nick went to see the person at the door. From the way he was talking with the person you could tell they were someone familiar.

"Nick whose at the door?" Lisa asked from the kitchen.

"Its Chase mom, he bought some pie from the bakery", Nick said as he brings this Chase guy with him inside.

"Darling, thanks for coming. But you should have just called me or someone we would have picked that" Lisa said to him while taking pie from his hand. I still have not looked up to his face.

" No, Mrs. White, mom insisted to get this to you hot out of the oven", the visitor spoke, I have heard this voice before I know but were I can't seem to remember.

"Grace, come here meet Chase. his family owns the bakery just around the corner", Lisa said to me as I turn around. 

Their stood the guy who I met other day at the store, he was their with two girls and helped me while buying the plants. By the smirk coming on his face I know he remember our encounter.

"Chase, meet my sister, she just came y from New York for weekend" Nick said as I was standing next to Lisa "Grace, this is Chase as you know his family owns the bakery here, which have the best cupcakes" Nick said with a dream sigh.

"Hello, nice to meet you again flower girl", Chase said as he brings his hand forward for a hand shake.

"Hello, helper boy", I said to him while rolling my eyes at him and shaking hands with him.

We heard someone clear their throat, " Well you guys want to explain" Zack said and now I think I have a lot to explain.
