Well, I was finally free for the day by three pm. now I am going for my salon appointment for some relaxing. Meeting your lovely family can be exhausting if you are already exhausted. I got out from my office and saw Jenny working on something and she have not seen me yet.
"Jenny I'm leaving now got my schedule for tomorrow", I told her and left as she said yes.
Going down towards my parking, I texted Nick to come by the salon. I need to tell him about tonight's dinner program. Well I would have gone their by myself, but I can't handle Mother today, she always try's to set me up for business deals and demotivate me to leave my business.
I got on my bike ad drove towards my salon, I was quiet sunny and with less traffic just the way you would like to see the roads. I reached their in recorded time so a win win situation for me but, Nick was still not their so I Just started my spa treatment.
"Well Grace are we having a day of pampering, if yes then count me in" Nick asked me as he sat next to me.
"Well yes we are having a day of pampering, but I'm preparing you for the night." I said to him and relaxed a bit.
"Well what's tonight grace " He asked.
"Well dinner at home, with my parents" I told him.
"What Grace are you serious, why don't just cancel that" He asked me.
"Well It happens once a year after that they will forget they even have a daughter out their so relax its just a dinner", I told him and continued "so relax if you didn't like it we will have a party in some restaurant of your choice this weekend".
He was thinking I know he sighed after a minute and agree anyway he will be getting a party, I just can't handle them myself.
We enjoyed our spa and got back home Nick was getting ready so was I we kept everything a bit professional well, you see my parents are way to over high class. If they get a choice father would sleep with their business suit and mother would were her best party wear as she is always with her high society friend. I just hope she has not invited someone I loath.
I got ready and got down calling Nick on the way, I waited for him like five minutes before he arrives and he look really nice for a dinner. We walk outside where my Lamborghini was parked and he whistled at the site.
"When did you got this beauty" He asked me and look at the car just like how a child looks at candies isle at any shopping mall.
"Well a couple of months ago" I replied and got in drivers side. Well I'm not giving his the wheels at all at least not of this beauty.
"Can I drive this please", he asked me and I said no.
We talked about here and there and he asked to drive like three more times and we reached my parents house in forty five minutes which was earlier then I thought. I drove my car to front of the mansion and got out with Nick. Someone took my car to park safely and out of front.
As I walk in I see Shawn standing their with a smile on his wrinkled face. It was the only welcoming thing here and I feel something warm bloom inside my heart.
"Welcome princess, how are you", Shawn asked me and pulled me into hug.
"I'm good Shawn and why are you still working you should retire now and rest, you have done enough work for the life", I said to him with concern. He is working with my family from ages he even babysat my father, then me.
"Well I did took two years off and traveled a bit then I came back and your father gave me a new job, I'm only here for you so I could welcome the little princess grace when she arrives", He said with tears building his eyes.
"Well, I'm here and I'm doing great. and here take my card if you ever need anything Shawn call me, and I will go meet father or he will get angry at me for getting here late", I said to him giving him a hug and going inside.
He is like my grandfather who have seen me grow more like handled me by the day I was born. Mother was never their father use to give me time but then I turned ten and he started working more. Sometimes I feel like because I was a girl they went far from me but sometime I have no idea.
I went inside with Nick a maid came and said that my parents were in the study. so we both went their, Nick was nervous because you see Mother never like them and they are my only family.
"Nick calm down and don't be so nervous, just relax ", I said to him and knocked at the door after I heard come in we went inside the study to face the music
