We arrive to Mike's house, he quickly opens the door and shoves me, Max, and El then leads us to the basement. We sit down in confusion as he sits on the arm of the couch beside Will and Lucas. "Will wha-" "Something's happened, something bad." Mike says cutting me off. "What are you talking about?"
Max says with a disgusted look plastered on her face. "Uhm Mike ar-" "Did Dustin answer?" I say getting cut off my Mike once again. "N-no he didn't pick up" Lucas said holding the walkie-talkie "Well try him again" Mike said demandingly.
"OKAY WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING BE-
"Well, we-"
"SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP. MIKE." I say cutting him off as he did me already 3 times! Mike looked a little scared and just slouched down on the couch "Well..the mind flayer..he's close to here, close to Hawkins. I've been feeling him coming very often" Will said with a shaky voice. "Well what does it feel like?" Max says looking at me and then turning her glance back to Will. "You know when you drop on a roller coaster?" Will said "Yeah" said the four of us "No.." El said looking confused. Will goes on to explain, me not caring at all just stares and Max and overthinks what I was thinking before we got here. I might like girls..but I dated Mike.. Max and Lucas broke up a while ago from what I heard so in my opinion it is completely okay to think she's ho-pretty. I'm shocked at my own thoughts until I hear Mike calling my name about a hundred times.."Y/n....Y/n?...Y/n!" Mike said while snapping "Oh- yeah..I'm sorry go on." I say shaking my head. "We're done talking about it.." El said looking at me. "Oh. Oh! Well sorry guys." I say while I follow Max heading out of the door. "Hey Y/n, wanna hang out again today?" Max asked while we wait for El. "Sure!" I say all smiley which was very embarrassing and creepy. El walks out and she follows us and gets on the back of my bike heading to her house because Hopper needed her home soon.
Max and I go back to her house and listen to some music while I look at magazines and see Molly Ringwald on a cover. "Jesus, she's so pretty." I say while Max pauses her dance party and jumps on the bed beside me. "In an attractive way or 'I wanna be her' way?" She said laughing. "Does it matter which one?" I say looking at her and smiling. "Well, no because I choose both." She said getting back up and singing 'Broken Wings' I smile and think to myself "She likes girls? Perfect!"
