we hurry to starcourt and see that johnathan got fireworks

max, mike, and i all hid behind a counter because there was a huge monster stomping on the roof of the mall

my breath becomes heavy while max and i interlock fingers, which responds in mike giving a deep sigh.

the mind flayer falls through the roof while i look up and see steve, nancy, jonathan, robin, dustin, el, lucas, and erica on the balcony.

el starts to use her powers to push the mind flayer away until it pulled me by my foot

the mall was echoing with the cries of fear until it let me go

i look up after falling to see everyone throwing fireworks at it 'die you son of a bitch!' i hear dustin screech

i could barely walk so mike and max ran to me and went to a store so that we could be well hidden.

the sounds of loud growling and pounding on the malls tile took over the entire building

'you guys need to go somewhere else, im safe here' max whispers to mike and i

"what!? max i cant leave you!" i say, she must be crazy.

'yes you can now hurry!' she motions for us to move

mike helps me to walk and we went to the storage units of starcourt

billy stops us mid-escape just to push me to the ground

"well, well." he said while looking down on me

'leave us a-' mike was cut of by a punch in the face, leaving him unconscious

my vision starts to become blurry when he picks me up and pushes me to the light painted walls 'tonight...hawkins will fall' he whispered to me

everything became black until i woke up to my head bleeding and blood running down mikes nose

i quickly shake him to see if he's okay

'mike!? mike come on wake up!'

he jumps up and rubs his nose to see blood on his hand

"come on, we gotta go" i say while grabbing his hand and running back into the main area where everyone is

i stop dead in my tracks to see billy hovering over el in front of the mind flayer

i go get max to stand by mike and i and hide

the words that were said between billy and el were very faint but both of them had tears running down their cheeks

then billy stands in front of the mind flayer idly until it gets its claws and sticks them into billys side multiple times

i lost complete airflow looking at that...maxs brother, sacrificing himself, sure he's a dick..but he was a good guy.

max runs towards billy while screaming in fear

'billy!' she sobs while i run next to her and she falls into my arms

'it's okay' i say faintly while crying

he was right.

hawkins did fall.
