Chapter 7 // Somethings up

-Lucas's pov-

"Hi..." I say to Max.

"Hey..." She responds coldly.

"You ok?" I Ask her slightly worried.

I see her face drop as she gulps.

"Yep I'm fine..." Max lies.

That didn't sound convincing...

"You sure?" I ask again.

This time she doesn't responds. She nods and just walks past me. Somethings wrong and I'm determined to make it right.

I don't know if it's my fault she looks sad but I have something telling me to make her feel better and that's what I'm going to do!.

-Max's pov-

I walk past Lucas too annoyed to answer his questions. I'm fine.

Well I think I'm fine...

Am I fine?

Yes.

I'm perfectly fine!.

I shake my thoughts as I walk in the kitchen opening the fridge. As I grab some milk (and yes I love drinking milk in a cup don't judge me!) from the fridge I feel someone breathing down my neck. My survival instincts kick in as I punch the person behind me in the private area.

"Owwww...!" Lucas yells in pain on the floor.

My eyes widen.

I kneel down as I help him back up.

"Shit sorry Lucas you scared me..." I speak up.

"Yeah...clearly" Lucas exclaims holding his private area.

I let out a giggle.

He rolls his eyes as I see a smile appear on his face.

"Not funny" He says to me.

I tried to respond but I couldn't stop laughing.

"Ok it was not that funny max" Lucas says standing tall clearly annoyed.

"O——m—-g I cannn-t s-t-o-p laughIngggg..." I laugh holding my stomach.

He rolls his eyes.

"What happened in here?" Mike furrow his eyebrows at us.

This causes me to laugh more and now Lucas joined in.

"Stop laug-hinnn-g y-o-ur ma-kin-g me laugh" Lucas says laughing.

Mike just looks at us really confused.

Eventually we stop laughing as I grab the cup of milk with as I walk to the couch where Dustin and Will was sitting watching a movie.

They both look at me concerned and I roll my eyes knowing what there going to say.

I put the cup on the table in front of us as I sit on the couch.

"Are you ok?" Will and Dustin ask me in unison.

I nod as I direct my attention towards the tv.

"So what we watching?" I ask them changing the conversation.

"Yeah what are we watching?" Mike says sitting on the couch next to Will and Dustin.
