(Nobody's POV)

"Woah...are u ok?" Mike asks. Lucas stands there stunned not knowing what to say. Dustin and Will look at him shocked. He had his shirt half way on but his shoulder was still visible as they got a good angle at his hurt shoulder.

"Hmm..i...I'm fine" Lucas answers as he quickly slips the rest of his shirt on. The boys stand there looking at him worried.

"Lucas you need to get that checked" Dustin suggests. Lucas immediately shakes his head no.

"No need it will heal..." Lucas says putting his bag back on ready to leave the restroom.

As he's about to leave Will grabs his arm stopping him in his tracks. Lucas slightly grimaces.

"Yeah no chance we're getting you checked now!" Will says. Dustin and Mike nod in agreement.

Lucas sighs as he knows there is no way he is getting himself out of this. They take him to get checked by the school doctor. It was dislocated and she suggested he have immediate surgery. Lucas eyes widen. This is going to ruin his chance on staying on the team. He felt his eyes glistening.

"Lucas I know this must be hard for you" Denise the team doctor says.

"But if you don't have surgery it could mean your shoulder will be messed up forever" She says. Lucas nods still upset.

The one time he had something going for himself his dad had to ruin it.

"You still didn't tell me how it happened?" Denise says.

Lucas eyes widen as he gulps. For a second he thinks about telling her the truth. But the truth could ruin everything so he lied to her.

"Umm I was lifting weights that were a bit to heavy as I wanted to gain more muscle and I think that might have caused this" Lucas lies.

Denise just looks at him to see if he's being truthful. Lucas wears a blank expression and she gives in. "Ok but next time go lighter on the weights" She chuckles. Lucas nervously chuckles back glad she believed him.

"So if I do have surgery how long do you think I'll have to wait to start throwing and playing again full contact?" He asks her.

"Umm...we'll Lucas it seems your shoulder hasn't been dislocated for too long but it has caused really bad swelling so if I was to give your a rough estimate it would be 12-13 weeks to fully recover" Denise says.

Lucas faces drops.

12-13 weeks?!?!

That would mean he would miss most of the year and a opportunity to get a starting spot. Now Lucas was super upset.

"But don't worry Lucas this stuff happens all the time and every patient is different so it could be your shoulder takes less time to recover. It all really depends what on how you rehab it" Denise says.

"Ok thank you miss Denise" Lucas says as she bandaged his arm and put it in a arm brace.

"Just call me Denise and no problem Lucas" She says smiling at him. Lucas sends a week smile back as he leaves the doctors office. As soon a he leaves the office he is confronted with Max standing there. Max notices his arm brace and immediately looks at it worried.

"What happened?" She asks Lucas staring at his arm.

He puts his head down not wanting to answer. He knows it will be harder to lie to Max.

"Lucas? Answer me!" Max says really worried. Lucas gulps as his eyes meet her. He could see in her eyes that she was extremely worried.

"Umm...I-I w-was lifting weights that were a bit to heavy and I just found out my shoulders dislocated" Lucas says not sounding convincing. There was something about Max's blue crystal eyes which caused him to struggle to lie to her.

Max steps towards him and he gulps. "Lucas are you lying to me?" She says furrowing her eyebrows.

"H-huh no..." Lucas says looking down avoiding eye contact. Max steps even closer and now Lucas was extremely nervous.

Luckily for him the bell rang for the next lesson to start so max backed off. "Hmm ok well Lucas come over to my house after school and we can continue this conversation bye bye..." Max says walking off.

Lucas let's out a long sigh that he didn't know he was holding in that whole time. Truth be told he was so close to letting the truth slip out his mouth. She even told Lucas to come over to there house and by the time he could respond she was gone.

So now he had to go or he'll feel like a asshole. He's also knows what this means now. His dad said he was grounded and if he found out that his son went over to a girls house he would assume the worst and Lucas would suffer the consequences. But screw it he wasn't going to let Max down.

Lucas gets snapped out of his thoughts when he hears someone call his name "Lucas class has started now so please head to your lesson before your late" The principal says. Lucas eyes widen as he runs to his next lesson. Luckily he just made it time before the bell ring again for people who were late.

But he couldn't focus. What Max said to him earlier keeps playing his head repeatedly. 'Lucas are you lying to me?' Yes but you can't know the truth Max. He doesn't why he was so nervous. He was so nervous he even nearly let it slips out. Lucas could tell Max thought he was lying by the look on her face and now he was even more worried of her finding out the truth.  The bad thing is he had to go over to her house after school and he already knows she is going to keep asking him what really happened and it's going to be hard lying to her.

It was around 3.30pm and that meant the end of the school. It also meant that he had to go over to Max's house. He takes a deep breath as he leaves the school waiting for Max at the exit.  Lucas was trying to calm himself down but it seemed like nothing was working until someone called his name.

"Lucas!" ...
