You Are mine

Chapter-13

Next morning, Kaira woke up and she remembered the conversation between her dad and Kevin.

She rushed to his room.

He was almost ready for office. She went near him. He smiled. She held his hands and said, "Please don't go to office for a few days. Call your staffs here. Please."

He opened his mouth to say something when Kaira said, "Please.... Atleast for me.... Just a few days...... Please."

He couldn't deny on her request. How could he, when it was the request of the lady who now owned his heart.

He looked at her and said, "Mmmm.... Ok... But a few days only. Ok?"

She nodded. He hugged her.

He informed his staffs about his plan and called them home and Kaira helped him too.

That day passed. Kaira was happy as Kevin was working from home.

But next day he had something very urgent so he needed to leave for his office. He somehow convinced Kaira and went for office.

Kaira was worried that her dad may play some dirty trick to trouble him.

Kevin called her every 2-3 hours saying that he is fine.

Finally the day passed and Kevin returned home.

Kaira was happy to see him. She rushed to him and took his bag and blazer from him.

Kevin sat on the couch. She asked him about his day.

He pulled her extremely close to him and rested his head on her shoulder.

He said, "You know what, it's really hard spend even an hour without seeing you. It was really hard to spend the whole day. It was so stressful. And you know what...."

He sat up straight, then continued, "I had to attend 4 meetings. Ahhh!! The clients are so irritating. But after this, I learnt that I'll take you wherever I go or else I'll go mad without you."

Kaira looked at him. She said, "You were never like this. You loved your work more than anything. Atleast that's what your employees say."

"That's the reason. Actually that time I used to love my work more than anything or anyone. But now I've someone I love more than anything." He said hugging her from the back again.

She smiled. Coming out of his embrace, she said, "Go and freshen up. I'm preparing the dinner."

After dinner, they talked for a while. Kaira got up and was to leave when Kevin caught her hand. She looked at him confused.

He said, "Please stay."

Confused she looked at him.

"Stay the night with me. Please."

She said, "But.........."

"No buts.... Please love." He said making cute faces.

She couldn't denay.

She thought for a while then finally agreed.

Kevin's eyes lit up.

He laid on her lap. While chatting finally Kevin fell asleep. She carefully put his head on the bed and laid beside him. Looking at him slowly she too fell asleep.

Next morning, Kaira opened her eyes and found him beside her. He looked so handsome even while sleeping. She was about to get up when Kevin put his arm around her. She was unable to get up. But somehow she managed to come out.

She said doing some stretches, "Man, you are so heavy."

"How can you say that I'm heavy??" He woke up and sat at once.

Kaira was surprised to see, he was already awake.

"You're awake already??"

"Yes.... But how can you say that I'm heavy. If you can't handle just a moment of cuddle, think how I managed to sleep all the night?? You almost took over the bed."

She stared at him.

"I was not the one who wanted to sleep here. I was going to my room. You were the one who wanted this."

"But it was really nice." He murmured.

She starred, "What??"

He smiled cheekily and said, "It's nothing."

He left.

Days passed.

Both shared the same room due to which Kaira had to move all her stuffs all by herself as all the servants were on leave for a few days.

She felt exhausted and cursed him like anything.

Kevin in between a meeting was sneezing repeatedly. Staffs were shocked as this barely happened.

One of them whispered to the other, "I guess someone has been cursing Mr. Spenser."

The other one slapped his hand and said, "Shut up. Do you want to get fired or what?? What if he hears you??"

But Kevin had already heard them. He declined the meeting right at that moment and left for his cabin. Everyone was shocked. This also happened very rarely. Everyone was tensed thinking, "Is someone going to loose his/her job??"

On the other side, Kevin dialled Kaira's number. She picked it up at once and lashed out at him.

He thought, "They were correct. Someone has been cursing me. God knows since when."

After cooling down she said, "Would you say something or not?? And why did you call me??"

He explained her the whole situation. Then asked, "May I know the reason behind my love's anger??"

She said, "Yes.... Sure.... You should know this."

He said, "Go ahead. I'm listening."

"Even if you don't, you'll have to listen. Listen. I've never even moved a glass of water by myself and now I've to move a whole room. And those bloody people, are also on leave these days. And my husband is so desparate that he can't even wait for them to return and move my stuffs. Is this why I'm on leave?? I thought I took a few days leave so that I could rest. But it doesn't seem like that."

Hearing her complains, Kevin felt bad but he laughed due to her cuteness.

She said, "Laugh... Laugh... If I hit my head while shifting and loose my memory, then also you keep laughing."

Getting no response from the other side, she said herself, "Did I speak too much?? Did I go overboard??" She was thinking all these when the door shut open.

She was surprised. He came straight to her and hugged her tightly. He said, "If you ever say those lines again, I swear I'd never speak to you again."

He tightened his arms as if he would never let her go anywhere.

After that, he helped her shifting. And now he could understand why she was so frustrated. It indeed was a hard job.

Knowing that they had no more energy left for cooking, he took his phone and ordered a food takeout. Kaira was unaware of anything, resting on his shoulder.

After few minutes, their food arrived, both ate and finally slept peacefully in each other's arms.
