Chapter-15

It has been a few days since Kaira left Kevin and shifted to a nearby hotel. Then also, there wasn't a single day when he wouldn't call or text her or sent chocolates.

When he missed her badly, he would come to her hotel and then just look at her room and return back. Sometimes they used to meet by accident as Kaira would be standing in the balcony. Whenever this happened, he left the place that very moment.

Kevin couldn't sleep at nights. Due to which he became irritated for little things. He wanted every bit to be very perfect. He would even make his employees work for extra hours. This made many employees resign from their positions. But fortunately, there was no loss in the company.

His grandmother saw this and was happy. Although out of stress, but he was serious. Very serious.

He would come home exhausted and then call Kaira, so that he could hear her sweet voice after a long tiring day. She would just listen to him and speak a little. She also knew that whatever he was telling her was the truth. Now it was harder for her to live away from him. So she decided to go back to him but without telling him and give him a surprise.

But the day she decides to return to him, she gets a call from her father's assistant.

Kaira said, "Hello??"

Assistant said, "Kaira, hurry up and get back home ASAP. It's an emergency. Your father has got a cardiac arrest. Doctors say that it's serious and they can't say anything. I've informed Ben too. He is in the flight now. Hurry up Kaira. I've already sent you the tickets."

Kaira was worried. She checked the flight details. The flight was in 2 hours.

She left for the airport. She typed a quick message for Kevin.

"Kevin, it's an emergency. My dad has had a cardiac arrest and it's serious. I'm leaving for Canada now. Let's meet when I get back. I love you♥️."

She boarded on her flight and after 3 hours she landed in Canada. She booked a cab and went to her home.

On the way, when she checked her phone, the message she typed wasn't delivered.

Before she could type another text, her car crashed and she bumped her head into the glass.

The last words she could utter were, "I'm sorry Kevin."

On the other side, Kevin, who was sleeping after a long, woke up with a dream that he lost Kaira.

He searched his phone and dialled her number. But it was switched off.

He was worried. He went to the hotel where Kaira was staying.

He went to the reception and asked about Kaira. The receptionist said that she checked out in the morning. He also said that, she looked very stressed.

Kevin was worried. He tried calling her again but again got the same response.

He dialled another number and said, "I need each every detail of the number that I sent you, as soon as you can." He declined the call.

He was thinking, "No, I can't loose another precious one."

"Years back. He along with his brother Kayden were kidnapped by few gangsters for a million dollars. But their mother was unable to deliver the money on time for which one of the gangsters shot on him but Kayden stepped infront of him. By the time the amount reached them, it was too late. Kayden lied lifeless. After that day, Kevin was quite. He was sent to various psychiatrists but there was no improvement. As he grew up, he engrossed himself in business. He was cold towards everyone. Then he met Britanny but soon he realised her real intentions that she hid that was only for her profit and being recognised as the super model in the industry. Then they broke up. Finally meeting Kaira, falling in love with her at the very first meet."

He cleared his thoughts, washed his face and went near the bar counter, poured a glass of red wine and finished it in a single gulp.

So.... This is it for today. Quick update as I can't update you in the further days coz I've my semester from January. I'm really sorry for that.
