When Thing returns he finds us in our class with Ms. Thornhill just as it's about to start. Wednesday and I pull aside to a corner to talk to Thing. Hiding behind a plant so no one see him he starts to explain what happened. He lost Rowan when he went into the bathroom and found his suitcase in one of the stalls but never saw him leave.

"How do you lose him in a bathroom with no windows?" Wednesday asked. "A lefty wouldn't have failed me." She adds.

"Wednesday stop that's harsh." I say

"Don't sulk. Now I'm going to have to find new evidence myself, since you lost our only lead." Wednesday said looking at Thing. To others it looked like she's was talking to a plant.

"I see you finally made a friend. Even if it's a plant." We hear Bianca's say as she stands with her group of friends.

"I go for quality over quantity." Wednesday replies as Bianca rolls her eyes and leaves to her seat.

We soon join her as we look for seats ourselves.

I stand near the front looking for a seat since Wednesday already found one.

"There's an open spot next to me. If you can stand sitting that close to an elitist snob." Xavier says. He's seated in the table next to me drawing. I chose to sit down and ignore his comment as class is starting.

Seated I see Xavier hold his hand out in front of his drawing. The spider he drew comes to life as is starts crawling towards me.

"I doubt Nikova is impressed by your tricks, Mr.Thorpe." Thornhill says looking over to us.

"Admit it, you're a little impressed." Xavier says to me with a smirk.

As the spider stands in front of me I slam my hand on it making it disappear. Looking disappointed Xavier closes his book.

"Nikova and Wednesday we're thrilled to have you join us on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants. Now who can tell us the name of this beauty?" Thornhill asked the class as she points to the plant on her desk.

Before she could even finish Bianca already had her hand raised.

Thornhill looks at Bianca and nods for her to answer who's about to speak.

"Dendrophylax lindenii." I speak before she can.

"Otherwise know as the ghost orchid." Bianca says.

"First discovered on the Isles of Wright in 1854." I spoke again.

"Very good, Nikova. Looks like you may have competition for first chair, Bianca." Thornhill says.

The class oohs at her statement.

"Nikova, perhaps you can identify the ghost orchids greatest quality." Thornhill asked.

"Resilience and adaptability. It's able to thrive in even the most hostile environments." I respond.

"But it's mere presence can change the ecosystem, causing the established plants to reject it." Bianca adds challenging me. The whole class looks between us intrigued.

"Usually because the native species is allowed to thrive unchecked. Nothing a weed wackier couldn't fix." I say looking at her.

"You can most certainly try." She replies.

"Are we still talking about flowers?" Xavier questions  as he looks over at me.

The class chuckles "Thank you ladies, for those illumining insights. Clearly the plants aren't the only
carnivores in class today." Thornhill claimed.
