Rei called for Endeavor, her voice soft with hints of tiredness in her tone. Endeavor reluctantly entered. Touya had heard his mother and also entered the room, signaling to his two siblings to come in as well. Sweet Fuyumi (age:7) and Natsuo (age:4) followed soon after. The whole family now stood in the room, which was an odd sight by itself. The room felt tense as Rei prepared herself to give important news to the family. It was hard to tell if the news was good or bad.
Rei's face was a mix of sadness, exhaustion, worry and maybe a bit of joy. Endeavor waites impatiently for the information he was about to receive. It was clear he'd rather had not stopped Touya's training for this. Touya's body slightly sizzling from just training, his hair painted almost halfway white. The three children were intrigued by what their mother had to say that was very important. They didn't often have good news anymore, especially after Touya got his quirk. Rei waited a second, clearly trying to put her thoughts together as she thought of her news. The kids intense eyes lay upon her. Even Endeavor at this point looked expectant for her words.
"Well... I just thought everyone should know that... I'm expecting." Rei finally spoke slowly and softly. Touya glanced at Fuyumi and Natsuo as if they would understand it either, but they looked just as confused. Endeavor facial expression didn't change, but it seemed a light of hope sparked in his eyes. A fire that sent a strang shiver down Touya's spine. Rei softly ushered the three children out of the room and had a quick discussion with their father before the two separated. Touya began to see Fuyumi and even Natsuo follow Rei around to make sure she was taken care of.
Touya tried to do the same, wanting to be there for her like his siblings, but Endeavor constantly pulled him away when he tried. The next few months could not pass faster, Endeavor was more harsh then usual, if it were even possible. It didn't take long for Touya to become covered in intense burns, but thankfully it didn't seem like they were long term burns. He constantly had to look for bandages any chance he got. It seemed like Endeavor was more 'excited' for the new arrival then he showed.
Constantly he would check how much longer Rei had. Even Touya had began to grow tired of the mans constant nagging about it. It was constantly being thrown around that this could be his chance, yet the young boy couldn't understand. What could be his chance? How was what his mother said important to his father. Wouldn't this sibling be pushed aside just like Fuyumi and Natsuo? Touya continued on with training like normal and still tried to get away when it was possible. Sometimes Fuyumi would even sneak in to check on him occasionally.
The months added up eventually. Touya was training, exhaustion gripping at his body until a sharp cry filled the house. Touya froze at the sound as he saw his father's expression shift. Endeavor made his way out of the room quickly towards the direction of the distressed sound. Touya didn't hesitate to follow and saw his two siblings already in the room. He had to push himself into the room due to Endeavor blocking the doorway. His mother sat in the room, clearly distressed. Touya looked at Endeavor, hopeing to see his father try to help his mother.
Endeavor quickly escorted her into the car, barely giving the three kids long enough to jump in. Touya had to practically throw his siblings into the car along with himself to make it in. Endeavor, who usually was just fine when it came to driving, was swerving around the road with his foot heavy on the gas. Touya clutched onto his seatbelt for dear life as he glanced around to see everyone. Rei was wailing out in pain, Fuyumi was also beginning to cry out of confusion, Natsuo simply sat in his spot with wide worried eyes and Endeavor looked expectant on arriving to their location. It took way less time then it should have to arrive at the hospital where Rei was quickly evacuated and taken to the back. The last thing the kids heard were her crys as she went down the hall.
At first it seemed like Endeavor would stay out in the waiting room, like usual, but this time he even went towards where Rei was being taken. Touya was left in confusion, looking at his two siblings. Fuyumi had finally stopped crying and Natsuo looked fine now, but they were all confused. Instead of trying to ask anything Touya sat them all down. A few hours passed with no word from their mother or father. Touya had done his best to entertain himself and his siblings. Fuyumi stood up and looked at her big brother, a tired look in her eyes.
"Touya I'm hungry..." she muttered.
"Yeah! Me too!" Natsuo replied, looking at Touya with pitiful eyes. The red and white haired boy sat there thinking for a moment on what to do. He didn't have any money on him nor did he know where to go to get food anyway. He stood up and pulled his siblings to the receptionist desk, trying to look over the counter at the woman to no avail.
"Hello.. we need to see our dad." Touya explained promptly. The woman looked over the counter and saw the three kids.
"Oh, you three came in with the hero Endeavor earlier didn't you?" She asked kindly. Touya nodded quickly, not wanting to say much. She turned away and began to speak to someone the three couldn't see.
"Hey, these three need taken to room 168. Their father, Endeavor is there with his wife." The woman explained. A man exited from behind the desk soon after and began to lead them down the halls. Fuyumi looked around as she held on tightly to Touya's hand. The eldest child other hand was occupied by his youngest siblings hand as well. He wanted to make sure his siblings wouldn't wonder off. The man stopped at the door labed 168 before leaving the three alone again.
It didn't take much time for Endeavor to exit the room and glare down at his three children.
"What do you need?" He asked.
"Fuyumi and Natsuo are hungry.. when are we leaving?" Touya asked, his two siblings hiding behind him. Endeavor sighed and Touya realised that the three of them had actually been forgotten by their father.
"Why's it taking so long for the baby to arrive? Is it a long travel?" Fuyumi asked randomly. Endeavor looked at her, clearly not wanting to answer the girls question.
"Go back to the waiting room, I'll inform you when we can leave." He stated before re-entering the room.
Touya slightly glared at where his father had previously stood before trying to lead his brother and sister back to the waiting room. This turned out to be more difficult then anticipated, because soon he had to find some adult to guide them back. Once they returned to the waiting room Touya sat them back down, aggravation still tingled in him. Why couldn't his father just pay attention to them? He had seen other kids get attention that was way different then they had. Natsuo and Fuyumi leaned on him, trying not to complain dispite we deserving to. They weren't sure how much time passed before they passed out on the chairs.
