Oddly enough, I can't help but muse about what he told me last night.

Napangisi ako at ikiniling ang ulo. Maybe, it's just a work of the universe. To make him envision what I've been up to while he's recuperating in Bern...
"What are you thinking?" My eyes swifted on him and I smiled.
"Nothing," kibit-balikat ko.
We were at the breakfast table. Kompara kagabi ay mas na loosen up ang atmosphere sa hapag kainan. Hindi na rin pumayag si Gustave na hindi kami magkatabi ngayon. Nakarinig pa nga ako ng malakas na pag singhap nang asikasuhin niya ang aking plato.
It was clear that they were aghast at the sudden change in Gustave's behavior. Kagabi ay si Steffy ang ipinapares sa kanya, ngayon naman ay ibang babae ang inaasikaso niya. Well, wala naman kasing sinabi si Gustave tungkol sa kanila ni Steffy despite their assertion kaya understandable na takang-taka sila.
Nahuli kong nakatingin sa amin si Auntie Sanaya, ang mommy ni Huntleigh. Kinabahan ako dahil baka iba na ang iniisip niya sa akin. I'm not sure if she still remembers me as Gustave's girlfriend during college and we only met once at his hospital room in Bern.
"It's okay," naibulalas ko nang makitang nilalagyan ni Gustave ng binalatang hipon ang plato ko. "Kumain ka na," I smiled.
He was taken aback but nodded. Bumalik ang tingin ko kay Ma'am Sanaya and she was now conversing with someone her age.
Gustave originally planned to introduce me this morning as his girl. I was delighted at first, pero ayaw ko naman na maging iba ang tingin nila sa amin. These families have been messed up from the beginning, it won't do any good if we'll add to that. This is not the right timing for that.
Isa pa, iniisip ko rin si Steffy. Even with the faulty behavior that she's throwing at me, I still want to respect her feelings.
The thing is, Gustave just couldn't keep his hands to himself. He poured and showered me with attention the moment we entered the dining hall.
Nang hapong din iyon ay kailangan ko nang umuwi. Hindi pumayag si Gustave na hindi ako ihatid. Ang tigas lang ng ulo.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Huntleigh and she just rolled her eyes while sporting a grin.
"What about Steffy?"
He pulled the gear coolly and leaned to check my seat belt.
