Williams eyes fluttered awake, his shirt soaked in sweat. Last night had been a rough one, and now he was slumped in the passenger seat. He was still without water, and was incredibly thirsty. It was his first night alone in the outback.
He turned his body around to get more comfortable, only to get jump-scared by something, a dog, looking into the car.
It was blonde, and it sniffed the window, peering inside at the humans. It looked friendly enough, and it seemed to be alone, which made William take a liking to it.
"Oh hey there buddy. Why are you all alone like this?" William asked, putting his hand against the window, to get the dog more comfortable. But instead the dog growled, and started scratching at the door aggressively.
William back up while Hannah awoke, confused by all the racket, and she jumped awake.
"What's that sound?" Hannah asked, startled. The dogs scratching green harder, and she looked around to see a dog to her side, sniffing the car door.
"Don't ask me." William informed her, as the dogs sniffed for a way to get in. Whatever they were, they seemed hungry, and would like a snack.
"A Dingo. Predators of the Outback, and they kill." Hannah looked back at Rob, who was just now awakening.
"What's happening? Who is that?" Rob wondered, still have asleep. They wrapped a bandage around where the snake had bit him last night, but now it was soaked in sweat.
"Rob, there's killer dogs after us." William told him. It didn't make the situation any better, as Rob started panicking and looked out the window, seeing the dogs. His instinct was to open the door and try to make a run for it to there dismay.
As Rob pushed the door open, he was quick to realize there was nothing around, and a Dingo grabbed at his ankle. William leaned over and grabbed his hand while the Dingo bit at his ankle.
"Rob!" Hannah grabbed his other hand and they yanked him in, Rob landing a gnarly kick at a Dingo before closing the door.
"Can we ever get a break!" Rob nervously yelled as he scooted over to the opposite window in the backseat, only for a Dingo to pop up in the window.
"Welcome to the outback." Hannah said, setting off the locking mechanism that closed the doors. "Where's the shotgun?"
"The shotgun?" Rob suddenly reached in the back, searching through suitcase, while Hannah watched over the dogs, scratching at the doors.
"Hurry!" William snapped, as Rob took out the shotgun and shotgun shells. He laid the shotgun shells down, but they fell out of the case and were soon scattered all over the car.
"What's taking you so long?" Hannah looked back at Rob, who was trying to pickup any shotgun shells he could find all across the floor of the car.
Suddenly a Dingo pounced onto the hood of the car, baring it's wide, sharp teeth and growling at the two passengers of the car. It tapped the glass with its paws and then tries to brute force its way through the glass, and William started breathing heavily.
"My wand!" Hannah grabbed her wand and aimed it at the Dingo, resulting in the Dingo hearing a piercing sound and whining.
"What did you do?" William asked, curious about the wands magical abilities.
"Magic." Hannah answered the question vaguely, as the Dingo regained its stance.
Rob picked the shells up and tried to hastily load the shotgun, but he was slow and ineffective.
The Dingo jumped onto the very top of the car, slowly sniffing around the roof of the car, where a small latch was cracked open. It put a paw through, but Rob shot at the roof, putting a hole into and causing the Dingo to jump down back onto the hood.
"Took you long enough." Hannah mentioned, looking down at the blood dripping from Rob's ankle.
"Are you okay?" William asked, looking disgusted at the amount of blood spilling all over the car and out of Rob.
"Yep, i'm just fine." Rob said sarcastically, laying back in his seat, only for a Dingo to pounce through the back and break the glass. They heard the shatter first, then the dog tried to bite Rob's neck.
"Shit!" Hannah yelled, as the shotgun clattered to the floor and Hannah picked it up, cocking it. The Dingo struggles to get through the headrests, trying to claw through, but Hannah was quick to shoot at it and it fell down, whining.
The four Dingos were still hunting the car, circling around it while Rob barricades the back with there suitcases.
"We need to make a run for it." William admitted, as Hannah cocked the gun again in case there was another unexpected jump scare.
"A run for it? Seriously? To where?" Hannah questioned the authenticity of the proposal, as she usually did.
"He's right. Staying in here is a death sentence. If they break we won't have any other way to defend it." Rob answered, standing up and dusting himself off.
"No, it's to risky." Hannah stated, grabbing Rob's hand, but he backed her off.
"Staying in here is more risky, we're asking it for it. Are you coming or not?" William asked, as Rob grabbed an old, smushed sandwhich he had in his backpack that was molding from the cafe.
"Bait." He only said one word, buts that all he needed as he threw the sand-which out the window for the hungry Dingos, who all fought over it.
"Go!" William shouted, exiting the car along with Rob, while Hannah hesitated but she made a run for it. The Dingos caught onto plan, chasing after them. But then a gunshot hit a Dingo, and another one. Soon the dingos where running, and Rob cheered as someone stepped out of an RV.
Daisy held Mr. Bradshaws handgun in her hand, and dropped it at the sight of Rob, where they had a reunion, she jumped into his arms.
"Daisy! What are you doing here?" Rob said, half scolding her but also happy she was here.
"I couldn't bare the thought of you being hunted down by those agents, so I was driving to go to that Outback amusement park when I saw you guys escaping your vehicle." Daisy informed them, holding hands with Rob.
"It's a long story, but we ran out of gas and we were stranded with no water. We nearly died. You saved us." Rob hugged her again, embracing her grip.
"Foreigners surviving in the Outback? Now that's a story." Daisy laughed, as Hannah came up to her.
"Thank you for saving us. Your cooler than I thought." Hannah smirked, but William was already waiting inside the RV.
"What are you doing? We have an amulet to find!"
