They all jumped into a intersection of the sewer system. There were a terrible smell and very no water running through the sewer system, instead it was dry and hot. Very hot and humid.
They jumped onto a mess of animal bones and other trash, which they all recoiled at.
"Ew, what is this?" Hannah kicked away from the pit of trash, and stood up on a empty sewer pathway, taking her phone out and turning flashlight mode on.
"Jesus christ, why is there even a sewer here in the first place?" Rob asked, joining Hannah as William and Daisy followed after them.
"It probably connects to a town nearby." Hannah assured, as she looked around at her dark surroundings, and took
"Well that's pleasant, I suppose." William said, staring down a long tunnel towards darkness.
"Well, we're down here, what do we do next?" Daisy asked Hannah, who looked around and walked towards a little sewer stream which had red arrow painted lines along the side of the wall.
"We follow the red arrow." William realized, placing his hand on the wall in front of Hannah and tracing them down the sewer tunnel, as they unanimously agreed to follow after him as it was there only lead.
"We're so close I can smell it." Rob cheered, his and everyone else's shoes getting soaked in the mucky water.
"Not through this stench you don't." Daisy shot down his triumphant statement, while they tries to catch up with William.
"William are you sure you know what you're doing?" Hannah nervously asked, looking back at Daisy and Rob who were behind her.
"I don't know, but it's all we got." William said as they reached a stopping point. There were bars, almost like prison bars, but they had been split apart and passed through.
William put a foot through, his pants scraping against the broken bars, while Hannah nervously watched.
"Be careful." Hannah warned, as he managed to slim his way through and fall into a puddle of filth and muck.
"Disgusting." William muttered, trying to scrape the trash and dirt off of his arm, while Hannah followed, handing her phone to William who shined the flashlight at her as she slid through and was caught luckily by William.
Rob peered cautiously past the bars and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing."
He hit his head as he pushed his way through, making its safely and being held up by Hannah. Daisy put her foot through and then pushed through, being caught by Rob who helped her back up.
"It has to be somewhere here." William said, leading there way through the mud and trash that littered the nasty floor.
"There's a slide?" Daisy said, pointing in the distance where the sewer curved down as they all approached it.
"Hello?" Rob echoed his voice down the sewer tunnel, hearing the silly mock of his voice.
"Get it together Rob." Daisy sigh from his childish actions, and Rob turned around with a mischievous smile.
"Then how about you got first?" Rob suggested, smirking as he crossed his arms.
"No you can go first!" Daisy snapped back, tapping Rob a bit to where he almost fell down.
"No you go!" Rob backed away from the tunnel as they stared each other down.
"I'll go." Williams suggested, tired of there bickering. He stared the tunnel down, before Rob gave him a light shove and he started sliding down the tunnel where he landed safely.
"Rob!" Hannah critiqued Rob and pushed him to the side. "How was it William?"
"A bit of a bumpy landing." William warned, trying to stand as he was trapped in a pile of animal bones.
Rob snuck up behind Hannah while they were speaking, but she saw him and kicked his ankle, causing him to lose balance and slip into the abyss.
"I'll go next." Hannah volunteered, sliding down her bottom through the wet tunnel and slamming into Rob. She tumbled over him and onto the animal bones where she nearly puked as she realized what she was laying on.
Daisy slid down behind them, hitting Rob again and they collapsed onto the floor.
"Ow." Daisy complained, as she stood up in the midst of the animal bones.
"I think is a bit overboard." Hannah said, kicking away the skulls.
Rob looked at his shoe, surprised as the gapping hole that Hannah had put in it while she slid down the slide and hit his back.
"You idiot! Look at what you did!" Rob complained, about to go at it with Hannah until William held him back.
The gates behind them violently shut closed, making a large clanging noise as now there was no way of escaping unless they climbed a ladder on the side of the wall. Above them was was a manhole, leading up to the freedom. It gave the four holes of light to see.
"There's the exit." Hannah exclaimed, running to the ladder, excited to finally leave this disgusting pigsty.
"Wait! I see a chest!" William yelled happily, grabbing a chest that was pretty heavy. He opened it and to his surprise, there was an orange gem laying in the middle of fat wads of cash. It was Francis Bradshaws life savings.
But there was something off. There weren't US dollars, instead a foreign currency. It had asian symbols on it and a strange man on the front.
But there smiles faded away as they heard a rumbling sound. They looked up, and pieces of the large hole were starting to fall. The whole sewer system was falling apart, and boulders were falling from the roof.
"It set off a trap!" Daisy yelled, running for the ladder with Hannah. William ran up behind the girls and start climbing up, but as Rob ran up to climb the ladder, his shoe fell off and he ran back for it.
He raced back for his shoe, nearly getting crushed by a falling rock. He grabbed it and put it back on his foot as he darted towards the ladder. Hannah made it out from the manhole, getting onto solid ground as Daisy followed her.
William came next, covered in dirt like the rest and Rob last, carrying his shoe with a large hole in the middle.
"I almost died because of you!" Rob screamed in frustration, while Hannah stood up and dusted herself off in the daylight.
"Wouldn't have been the worst outcome." Hannah said sarcastically, as William took out the amulet and held it in his hand.
"Look what we got ourselves." William cracked a smile, as the others admired it, the shining gem glistening in the suns view.
"We need to get to the car." Daisy rushed them, as they made there way around a hill and onto a the familiar parking lot they had just seen an hour earlier.
"Just let us have one win and stop being a fun sponge." Rob whined, making Daisy grab Ron by the wear and throw him into the back of the RV.
"Stupid boys." Hannah laughed as the two girls got in the front seat.
Daisy started the car and started turning towards the exit, as everyone relished in there victory. At the exit of the amusement park though, Zeus was inside his car, blocking anyone from leaving.
"Daisy what are you doing?" Hannah said, pointing at the car in front of them. "Daisy!"
Zeus exited the car with his shotgun, loading it up as he aimed the gun at the car. Little did he know Daisy wouldn't be stopping as she slammed the pedal, aiming at Zeus as he figured out what was going.
"Your gonna hit him!" Rob alerted, sticking his head out the window as Zeus nearly managed to slip away from his side, and Rob grabbed the shotgun. Zeus's firm grip managed to hold onto it, until they slammed into his car and he was hit by the side view mirror.
"Better luck next time!" William shouted from beside Rob, as they turned onto the main highway and left the crumbling amusement park, amulet in hand.
