"Not at all" I joked, trying to casually brush off my nerves. On the outside, I may look fine but on the inside, I'm shitting it. I've never performed this song before, hardly anyone has even heard it. Odell hasn't heard it yet.
"Demi?" I jumped at the sound of Scooter's voice. He was stood in the doorway, wearing a light smile. "They're ready for you" I nodded, glancing up at Odell who stroked a strand of hair behind my ear and then leant to kiss me.
"You're gonna crush it, love you" he mumbled against my lips. A lump quickly formed in my throat so all I could do was nod my reply. I thought the butterflies already in my stomach were bad but the moment I stepped onto the stage, they intensified. My hands were visibly shaking, my heart was pounding hard against my chest. I kept my gaze down as I was announced, only looking up when the spotlight hit me. The lump in my throat was still there and I couldn't see it leaving any time soon. I gripped the mic stand as the gentle sound of the piano started and I forced the lyrics from my mouth. The moment I spotted Odell, my Mom and sisters in the crowd was the moment I choked up and my voice cracked. I dropped my head and attempted to compose myself as the piano came to a gentle stop. The tears continued as the crowd roared. I swallowed down the lump in my throat, glanced back at Steven with a nod and then sang my heart out.
It was all a blur until the crowd erupted and a wide smile spread across my face even as tears rolled down my cheeks. I softly laughed as I met Odell's wide smile as he dramatically clapped and cheered from the audience.
I waited until the crowd's cheers died down before exiting the stage and I headed straight for Odell who brought me in for a tight hug. My arms were tight around his neck as I softly cried. He cupped my face in his hands as I pulled away.
"You fucking crushed it, Baby" his own eyes were swimming in tears. "I'm so proud of you" he caressed my cheek as he brought me in for a sweet kiss. Once I pulled away from Odell, I went around and hugged everyone else. My Mom was in floods of tears as were my sisters.

There was only one thing I really wanted to do when we got back from our own little Grammy after party, and that was strip Odell naked. The sexual tension was high.
