Chapter 2 | A Mission

After what felt like hours, the memories finally came to a stop and Cui Huifen let her body drop to the floor weakly.

She felt like she had been stabbed in the brain multiple times and was completely exhausted.

Was it also possible to say that her brain was sore?

Indeed, the experience of having someone else's memories forced into her head was something she never wanted to go through ever again. Especially right after a gory death in her past life.

Nonetheless, if these foreign memories served as any indication, she was currently possessing the body of a 20 year old woman whom she shared the same name with.

The woman's life was quite miserable. She was bright, but because of her appearance, was mocked and degraded. It wasn't that she was unattractive. In fact the complete opposite! Her attractiveness overshadowed any other talents she had. After running away from her aunt and uncle whom she despised for mistreating her, she went from job to job trying to earn money to pay for her university fee.

Unfortunately, although she was smart and right minded, it was her inexperience, poor attitude and bad luck that proved to be her downfall and she was drugged one night while working as a waiter at a nightclub. The next morning she woke up in a motel room naked and bleeding. She had been raped.

Beside her was a strange naked man. Frightened, the original owner of the body quickly changed and ran out before the man awoke.

The original owner was so traumatized by the experience that she refused to return to that job and moved somewhere else. However, she soon fell pregnant and, for a teenager, it seemed her entire world fell apart with it.

She could not join college that year and her expenses she had saved up would be eaten by her uncontrollable pregnancy urges. She was scared, alone and vulnerable.

To make things worse, no one wanted to hire a pregnant teen.

The original owner of the body began to resent the unborn child in her stomach and tried many times to kill the fetus by injuring herself, however she was prevented each time either by those that saw her as pitiful or those that thought she should face the responsibility for her shameful deeds.

One night had change her entire world and she was turned into a teen mother, unemployed and without a family.

The events occurred so quickly and so recent that Cui Huifen realized the original owner had only given birth to her child four days ago!

No wonder her body still felt weak and fatigued. She had delivered a whole baby!

Cui Huifen finally made it to the exit of the building but paused. Something in her heart seemed uneasy. Like she was missing something, but couldn't quite recall what.

In the end she gave up and left the building. Immediately, she was confronted with a busy, bustling street full of people.

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she naturally did not recognize the location.

Then, recalling the original owner's memories, she realised she was currently in City R, a second-tier city in Country X.

With such strange names, Cui Huifen felt like she had teleported to a whole new world altogether.
