Chapter Fifty-Seven: Slipped Out

Meh. Not sure what I think of this chapter, but it is gonna add to what's gonna happen in the future.

Ellie

I tipped back the bottle of beer against my lips and suppressed laughter as I watched Dani and Alan began spinning around in the middle of the room. Both of them had wide, reddened eyes and a crazy sense of humour since they took a few hits.

Tino rolled his eyes and leaned back into the chair. "Fuckin' weirdos."

I drank another gulp and nodded my head. "Yeah, I know," I said whilst chuckling. "I can totally see them in a relationship in the future, though."

"You wanna make a bet?" Tino asked, raising a brow and smirking. I placed my bottle down onto the table and looked across at him questioningly.

"Alright, what's at stake?" I asked.

"Twenty bucks."

I laughed and stuck out my hand, where he then shook it. "You're on. I bet that in the next two months, they'll be all over each other."

"I bet two weeks," Tino said daringly, smirking darkly. "Alan moves quickly - don't doubt him."

"What, did he practice on you?" I joked. "Joking. But I don't doubt him, I'm aware that he's totally irresistible to some girls, but.. not Dani. She's too innocent."

"How innocent?" Tino asked, raising an eyebrow.

I made a face. "That's not my business. But, from what I know, she doesn't get too involved with that sort of thing."

"Oh, so she's a virgin?" He asked suddenly, causing me to choke on a sip of my drink.

"How would I know?" I exclaimed. "Psht, if she is, not for long." I muttered. "Fuckin' hell, don't let him take advantage of her." I told him, where he then shook his head.

"Nah, Alan wouldn't do that," Tino said firmly. "Yeah, he's stupid, but he at least knows where the line is drawn."

"Good," I murmured, relaxing a little. Suddenly, a ripping, burning pain shot through my stomach and caused me to sit bolt upright. "Christ on a bicycle." I muttered, wrapping an arm around my torso.

Tino frowned in concern. "Y'alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good," I said with a huff. I pressed my lips together and sat back again. "Since the miscarriage I've been getting major cramps-" I cut myself off and widened my eyes.

Tino looked across at me, his expression of horror mirroring my own.
