Chapter Twenty: Daydream Becomes A Reality

This POV has been a long time coming, don’t you think? Because it’s chapter twenty (this is my record, I have never wrote a book/story this long!) I will try and add in something… special. And I will also try and make it a little longer.

As I stop the recording, Ellie pulls out the earphones and blows up a puff of air up her face, shifting any stray strands of brown hair. She eventually gives up on that, combing it back with her hand to reveal her sparkling, grey eyes. The ones that I noticed were sparked with the magnificent colours of blue and green.

“Oh, man, that was intense!” She says, referring to the game that we had just played. I nod my head in agreement, glancing at the game on my computer that is still running. I frown at the custom night, wondering how difficult it is. I have already checked out what it is, and I know that you can change the difficulty of the animatronics AI.

“I know the fans are going to want me to play this. Let’s check it out off-camera,” I suggest, and Elliot nods her head in agreement. She tucks her feet up on the spare chair, leaning her head on her hand. “Cute.” I mutter, turning my head away from her and facing the screen again.

“Huh?” She asks, sitting upright now. I shrug limply, giving her a cocky smile.

“Nothing.” I tell her, and she lets it slide. However, I can tell that, because she doesn’t know what I said, she is extremely curious to find out. I realize that, on the custom-night, you can select the highest difficulty and apply it to all of them.

“Hey, let me play,” Elliot says, narrowing her eyes at the screen. I slide the mouse over to her, and she holds it firmly in her grasp. I watch the screen intently, feeling my eyes widen as Freddy pops up before even a minute has passed and jump-scares us. I turn to Ellie, seeing that she is looking as shocked as I feel. She then starts laughing a little, as if realizing something. “Good luck with that, man.”

“Thanks. I’m going to need it.” I say, shutting down the game and, soon after, bringing up my video editing software. Whilst I am editing the video and crunching it down to a reasonable length of twenty minutes, Ellie tells me that she will cook us dinner. I just smile at this, knowing that she will cook a great meal. I’d ate some of her food before and, man, it sure was good.

I lean back in my chair, drumming a small tune on my desk as the video begins to upload. I look through suggestions of games as the video uploads, writing a few down that interest me. There has been a major hype over drunk Minecraft lately, but we still hadn’t recorded anything. I promised Ellie that she could be in one of the videos, and we were going to film it when Bob came to Ohio, but he never made it. We’ll slot it in sometime this month, though.

I hear the doorbell ring, and realize that the movers must be here. Not wanting Ellie to have to deal with that and cooking the food, I walk downstairs almost immediately. Elliot is on her way to the door, but I stop her before she opens it.

“Hey, I got it.” I tell her, and she nods her head at me.
