"Oh, god," I groaned, curling my hands over Mark's back and digging my nails into his skin when he hit the spot that made it feel like electricity was fluttering over my skin. "Mark.."
"I love you," he moaned, burying his head into the crook of my neck as I arched my back up to meet his chest. My toes curled, my eyes squeezed shut and my breath hitched as the white-hot, tight ball that had scrunched up in my stomach exploded like a firework and flooded my veins with ecstasy. His motions were suddenly stuttery until they came to a final halt, and his muscles went stiff and tense against me before he collapsed and rolled aside.
"Holy crap," I panted, wiping the line of sweat that had formed over my brow. "Where'd that come from?"
"We haven't seen each other in so long," he breathed out. "I just had so much energy in me when I saw you. Especially in.." Mark cut himself off, his eyes flickering over to the garments that had been torn away and flung across the room. "That."
With a smile, I reached up and stroked his cheek. "Yeah, I thought you'd appreciate that."
"I did, thank you," he smiled, covering up his yawn by throwing a hand over his mouth. "Damn, I'm tired."
"Yeah, me too," I agreed. "You've worn me out."
"You see, that's what happens when you're with me. You get wrecked," he said, putting stress on the word wrecked. I thumped him on the chest.
"Way to ruin the moment, you goober," I scolded, pulling the bedsheets over my body.
There was a moment of silence before he spoke up again. "How do you feel?"
"Amazing," I answered without hesitation.
"Why? Because of the wedding, or because of-"
"Both," I responded. "I mean, I get married, I hang out and party with my friends like a bunch of idiots, and then I get to spend some alone time with my man. How could it get any better?"
"I can also make you breakfast in bed," he offered.
"You could, but you always do," I shot down. "It's my turn. What do you request for the morning? Waffles? Bacon and eggs? Pancakes and syrup?"
"I'd have to go with pancakes and syrup, like any other red-blooded American would," he decided.
"Pancakes and syrup it is," I sighed, snuggling into the sheets. "Goodnight. I love you."
"Love you too, wifey," Mark grinned, reaching over and pulling the corner of the duvet over him. The sleep came over me quickly, for I was exhausted for having spent an entire day on my feet and then an amazing hour tangled in the sheets with my new husband.
My new husband.
Wow. I was going to have to get used to saying that.

I brought the tray to Mark's lap, poking my tongue out in concentration as I placed it down carefully upon the sheets. "Pancakes and syrup, just as requested."
"Thank you," he reached up and planted a warm, loving kiss on my lips before recoiling and reaching for his knife and fork so he could dig into his sugary meal. "Have you eaten already?"
