"Andy come on, you have changed that one ornament 100 times already, it looks great " Robert laughed at his wife wearing yogapants one of his sweaters and fluffy socks who was standing on her toes while decorating their tree. She let out a frustrated grunt while changing the location of the same ornament again. It was a little ornament with our firs noel written on it, the one they got for their first christmas together. Years later he realized how important those little traditions during christmas were for her and his wife her perfectionism while decorating their house for the holidays always kept him entertained. He himself never truly got the obsession why people would spend so much on decoration alone but seeing the joy it brought his wife he started to appreciate it more and more. "Robert stop complaining and help me" not trying to hide her frustration. "Okay okay, what can i do to help?" He smiled as he walked over to her. "come on" He gave her a little kiss on her cheek. "Let's see where this one fits" She took a few steps back and looked the tree up and down. "Wait i got it!" She moved Robert to the side as she stood up on her toes again trying to reach a branch. Her height never annoyed her more than when she was decorating their house. Before she could ask for help she felt two strong hands on her hips holding her up. "I got you" Finally able to reach the branch she put the ornament on there "Perfect" She regained her footing as Robert put her down again. "It looks perfect" Andy snuggled up in Roberts embrace as they looked at their christmas decoration. "Hot cocoa?" She whispers as her hands ran over his strong arms. "Do i even need to answer that?" Laughter filled their living room. "Got it babe, can you light the fireplace?" Robert nodded at her and still found it quite funny that as firefighters they had a fireplace in their home.

A few minutes later they sat down on their couch enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and the hot chocolate in their hands. "I love us" Andy whispered as she cuddled up to her man. Robert realized this would be the best time for his surprise. "I know it's early for a christmas present but i couldn't help myself" he handed over the little package to Andy. "Owh come on it's basicly a late birthday present now" Andy looked at him surprised. "I know but it might be something we both could enjoy" He smirked while he pushed the little strand of hair that had fallen into her face back against her ear again. "Don't tell me you got me some weird sex toy again. That was a one time thing you know that." "It's not but i like where your mind is going" Robert grinned "Fine i'll open it but don't start thinking i won't expect other presents during christmas mister Sullivan" She gave him a peck and started to rip the paper. "Robert?" Andy looked from the little box in her hand to her husband. "Babe you're late" It's hasnt been the easiest year for their marriage. The hospital visits, dissapointments, loss of hope and not to forget all the hormones. "You kept track?" A tear streamed down her face. "With everything going on you kept track?" She looked down at the pregnancy test in her hand. "You normally get your period around the 15th. It's the 6th now Andy you're over two weeks late you know what that could mean." Andy fidgeted with the little box "I didn't realize it was that long" She took a deep breath while looking at the mix of excitement, adoration and care in her husbands eyes. "But Robert, what if it's negative again. I'm not sure i can go through that again. Especially not right before the holidays." He kissed away her tears. "If it is we will keep trying but i have a feeling there is no need for that." Something in him felt like this time she truly was pregnant. "So no more sex is what you're saying" Andy teased. "like you can stay away from me." He stood up and grabbed her hand. "How about we find out if we will have our very own christmas miracle?" "What if it's negative again?" One of his hands found her chin and made her look up to him. "What if it's not. Andy i know you there have been symptoms you can't hide them not for me" immediately he realized he should've stayed quiet seeing the look in his wifes eyes. "what symptoms??" She questioned "Babe" He started laughing but quickly stopped when he saw the death stare "What symptoms Robert?!" She repeated "Just take the damn test"

Around 5 minutes later Andy still wasn't back. Robert got worried and started knocking on the bathroom door "Babe, you okay?" he heard a little voice from the other side of the door "i'm okay" "Can i come in?" But there was no response. He imagined finding Andy sitting on the bathroom floor crying like he found her so many times before. "Andy i'm coming in now" instead the second he opened the door Andy jumped into his arms and started kissing him like her life depended on it. "It's positive" she whispered. Holding his wife it took him a second to realize she really said the words that he's been waiting to hear for over a year. "It is?" He couldnt believe it. "Babe i know i also can't believe it we... we're going to be parents" Andy looked at him with the biggest smile. "I love you so much." He put her down again as he continued. "All i want for christmas is you" Andy led his hand to her still flat stomach "Us"

4 Months later
"Are you ready to see what it's going to be?" Both nodded and watched the little screen during the ultrasound. "It's a girl, congrats" The Obgyn left the room shortly after letting the soon to be parents enjoy this moment together. "A girl" Robert repeated as he wiped away one of his tears. It was really happening. "Our christmas miracle really did come true." His hand found her little bump as he kissed her forehead. "Speaking of christmas. I kinda thought we would have a girl and started thinking about names. What do you think about Noelle?" It warmed her heart seeing her husband tearing during the ultrasound. "Thats perfect. Our first Noelle, guess we can keep the ornament now" Both his hands found her cheeks as he took her into a sweet kiss.
