Day 19

This story takes place after the finale of season 4. Robert is captain of the 19 again. Andy left Robert's place 2 months ago and has been living in a hotel since then.

Today was the day Andy and Robert will sign the divorce papers. Andy had just woken up and immediately ran to the bathroom because she had been feeling nauseous for a few days. She got dressed and left. When she arrived Robert was already there they both went in together and sat down her lawyer said, "This is the easiest divorce I've had in years. Sign here please." Andy and Robert both signed and then Andy drove home as fast as she could because she was feeling sick again.

Andy had thrown up again after she got home and then laid down again. In the evening Vic and Maya were coming to celebrate the divorce. Andy woke up shortly before Maya and Vic arrived and went to the bathroom and threw up again. Shortly after, there was a knock on the door and she opened it. Andy: "Hey come on in." Vic and Maya came in and Vic said, "We didn't know exactly what you wanted so we brought champagne, tequila and beer so you're spoiled for choice." Andy: "I'd rather stick with water." Vic: "Since when does Andy Herrera voluntarily give up alcohol. Are you sick." Andy: "No I'm pregnant." Vic and Maya were both shocked to hear this. Maya: "Does he know?" Andy: "No, not yet." Vic: "But you're going to tell him, right?" Andy: "Yeah I just don't know how yet." Vic: "We'll be there for you." Vic and Maya stayed until dark and then drove back home.

The next morning Andy woke up with nausea again. This morning it was so bad that she considered calling in sick but decided against it. She got dressed and drove to the station. Robert was already in his office when Andy came in. He is still suffering from the divorce and it shows. Andy changed and went to the kitchen to make some coffee but Vic came to hers and said, "Coffee is not good for the baby. Drink a glass of multivitamin juice instead." Andy:" But I can't get through this day without coffee so give me my coffee. Don't mess with a pregnant woman." Vic: "Okay you shouldn't get upset either it's not good for the baby." Andy: "Thanks for looking out for me but could we keep it down until it's official." Vic: "Yeah, but nobody's here yet anyway." Just then Robert walks in and said, "Good morning" and made himself a smoothie." Robert went back into his office and shortly after Maya came in. Maya: "Good morning" Andy: "Morning" Maya: "How are you?" Andy: "I was pretty bad this morning but it's getting better and if Vic didn't forbid me to not drink coffee I would be much better." The three were still talking until Robert called out, "19 line up." The team lined up and Robert said, "On the Aid Car today are Herrera and Bishop. On the loader are Miller,Warren and Montgomery and on the Engine Gibson and Hughes."

After an exhausting shift, Andy goes back to her hotel room and just laid her down in bed watching a movie and eating popcorn.

For four weeks now Andy has known she was pregnant but she still hasn't been to the gynecologist and Robert doesn't know yet either. Maya and Vic make sure that Andy is well and eats enough all the time. Today she has the day off and is about to meet Vic for lunch but she can't find anything that fits her. She finds a dress that fits her and then she leaves. When she arrives at the restaurant Vic is already there. Andy: "Hey sorry I'm late but I just couldn't find anything I could fit into." Vic: "Not bad. How are you doing otherwise?" Andy: "Good but this nausea just won't stop and I really need to buy some bigger clothes." Vic: "We can go shopping together later. I don't have anything planned today." Andy: "Yeah I'd love to but right now I need something to eat first." Andy wanted to buy clothes for herself but when she saw the baby department she had to buy something for her baby.

After shopping she drove back to the hotel and lay down first of all the pregnancy makes her pretty tired. For the evening she ordered a burger and fries in her room because she is pretty hungry. After that she watched TV and then went to sleep.
