Day 23

"You're baking?" Robert asked confused as he reached the bottom of the stairs and saw Andy whirling around in their kitchen. "Yea I meant to do it last night but someone kept me busy." She smirked. "I would say I'm sorry, but I'm really not so."

He turned his attention to Smokey now. "Now Smokey, you know you're not allowed on the kitchen counter! Come on, down! Andy's baking here smokey!" He wanted to shoo Smokey away but Smokey only meowed loudly at him walked over the kitchen counter through the flour, to Andy and demonstrative sat in front of her staring at Robert. "Great so i guess I've got nothing to say here." Robert huffed.

"But Andy, it's really unhygienic if you're baking and Smokey's walking around here." He continued, not sure if he even had Andy's attention as she petted Smokey. "I think it's fine since I'm baking for our princess and not for you." She chuckled.

"You're baking for Smokey??" He asked in disbelief, after all he did just get up or maybe he was still asleep. "If you tell anyone at the station..." she threatened him. Robert chuckled, not even in his dreams he dared to tell anyone, knowing very well the stories Andy could tell about him and Smokey would be too embarrassing.

Andy finished baking Smokey's treats and they had a little breakfast together.

"Can you get the tree inside now? It's the 24th and we don't have the tree up yet!" Andy huffed as she loaded the dishwasher. "It's a German thing okey? We get the tree inside on the 23rd or 24th and then we decorate it on the 24th." Robert defended himself. "Yes, yes, you've told me. Doesn't make it any less weird though. And you're lucky I love you so damn much that I'm going along with this." She waved a knife at him before putting it in the dishwasher.

"Wow, Im so lucky that I am more important to you than a Christmas tree." He grabbed his chest as a joke but smiled over the little banter they had going on.

Robert went and got the tree from their terrace and with Andy helping him to make sure it stands straight he set it up. Not even 5 seconds after they were done Smokey made her way up the tree. "Smokey!" Robert yelled shocked but Smokey only turned her head for a second before she continued to explore the new item that had taken over their living room, or rather her living room. "Smokey Herrera Sullivan get down right now!" Andy ordered stern and Smokey quickly jumped out of the tree. The little cat made its way to the couch where she laid down in a little ball immediately.

"I saved her from a freaking fire and now she only listens to you." Robert huffed. "Well I got my ways." She smirked. "That you do." Robert pulled her close by her hips and leaned down for a kiss.
