Repairing The Heart Part 1, Chapter 40
At the Quartermaine mansion, in the Lila Rose garden, during AJ and Elizabeth's wedding reception, Jeff picks up a glass of champagne. "I want to make a toast to my daughter Elizabeth and AJ. I'm glad I'm here for this wedding. Elizabeth, I have a lot to make up for, and I love you." Elizabeth kisses her father on the cheek, and Jeff and Elizabeth share a father-daughter dance.
Skye watches happily for her brother when Brenda approaches. "Brenda, just because our children are dating doesn't mean we have to be best friends." "No, we don't. I heard Jax left you everything—his company." "He sold them to me before he died." "I still can't believe he's gone." "Me either," replies Skye as Lila Rae approaches. "Mother, have you seen Genevieve?" "She went with your father to meet Diego." "Oh, she didn't say goodbye to me either."
Tracy and Ned are talking. "Mother, are you okay?" "I didn't want to ruin today, but tomorrow I have surgery for cancer." "I'll be there with you," Ned reassures.
At General Hospital, Britt and Emma are working when the paramedics arrive with Genevieve and Lorenzo. "No, Genevieve is pregnant," Britt says. "Lorenzo doesn't look good either. I'll call Skye—I'm sure she's still at the wedding." Britt makes the call.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, in the Lila Rose garden, Skye is dancing with AJ. "AJ, I'm glad you're happy, and I hope you and Elizabeth stay happy. Don't let anyone ruin it." "Skye, are you okay?" "No, I miss Lorenzo. I regret the divorce," Skye admits. "Don't," AJ says as Skye's phone rings. She opens her purse, takes out the phone, and yells, "Skye Quartermaine, no!" then hangs up.
"Skye, what is it?" the family asks, gathering around.
"Skye, Genevieve and Lorenzo were in a car accident. I need to get to the hospital." "We will get you there," they respond.
