Repairing The Heart Part 1, Chapter 18
At Skye and Lorenzo's place—Lorenzo pours himself a drink, upset that Skye knows him so well she figured out his plan as Genevieve enters.
"Daddy," Lorenzo turns to face Genevieve. "How was your nap?"
"Good, Daddy. I did something you're not going to like."
"What?"
"I went and saw Alistair. I told him about the baby. He has a right to know, and I want him involved in this baby's life. Daddy, if Mother keeps us from you, I would hate that."
"Yes, I would. Your mother tried to keep you from me."
"I never heard that story."
"It was after your mother found me in London. I was hiding from some legal issues, and Skye and I had a lot to work out. One night after fighting, we made love, and your mother just left a note the next day saying she wanted to end things. After looking for Skye and Lila Rae, I found Skye pregnant."
"So, you got back together because of me?"
"In many ways, yes. I need time to process all this."
"I know, Daddy. It's not the way I wanted to have a child either, but it's a baby—an Alcazar."
"Yes, it is." Lorenzo hugs Genevieve.
Skye is in the twins' room, holding Alana.
"Oh, Alana, I don't know what to do," Skye says. She picks up Teddy too and goes downstairs, where she sees Genevieve and Lorenzo talking.
"What's going on?" Skye asks, as she puts the twins in the playpen.
"Daddy was telling me about how you ended up pregnant with me. You try to keep him from me?"
"Genevieve, there's more to the story."
"I'm sure. I need to make a phone call." Genevieve says.
"The history between your father and me is complicated."
Lorenzo goes to his office and picks up a phone.
"The plan's off."
Genevieve and Skye are in the living room, and Genevieve looks at her siblings.
"They're going to be the youngest aunt and uncle."
"Yes, I told Alistair about the baby."
"How did he take it?"
"He's in shock."
"I'm sure. Genevieve, I want you to know that I don't regret you."
"I know, mother."
