As you wandered around the city, you felt at ease for the first time in a while. It finally felt like you weren't running for your life or drowning or....you shuddered just thinking about the other horrors you experienced these past few days.
You were interrupted from your train of thought as you felt something tug at the bottom of your shirt. You looked down to see a small girl gently tugging your sleeve.
"Hello...do you need anything..?" you said, inwardly cringing at that awkward mess of a greeting. This is exactly why you just preferred to stay at home with your precious bed rather than deal with cringe social interactions you commonly overthought (yea sry guys, had to rant anyways back to the story)
"Miss, can you come to play with me and my friends?" she asked, smiling innocently. "We only need two more people for our game!"
"Well...okay, but only for five minutes alright?" you relented, gently poking the girl's cheek.
"Yay! You can bring your boyfriend too," she said, before skipping away.
"He's not my..." you gave up, realizing she had already gone on her way. It was bizarre, for some reason everyone here thought the two of you were in a relationship. And what was even more obscure...was the fact that you didn't mind it...
"What am I even saying, get it together," you thought, slapping both sides of your face with your hands before following the girl.
"Ready to leave?" Alhaitham asked, walking up behind you.
"Uhm actually, there's something I have to do before that," you said quickly. Without giving him a chance to reply, you grabbed his hand and hurriedly followed the girl through the spirited streets of Caravan Ribat.
"Over here, miss!" the girl called out, waving you over. After you made your way to her friends, you saw a bunch of cards laying on the table.
"Wait a minute...is this TCG..?" you asked, as your eyes lit up at the sight of the card game.
"Yea!! Do you know this game?"
"Do I? I've played it so much that I've mastered it," you smiled, eagerly sitting down to play.
"This looks...interesting," Alhaitham murmured, examining the cards as he sat down beside you.
The girl quickly explained the rules to you both, even though you had them memorized. This card game was a staple of your childhood, you and your friends would stay up late into the night, playing it for countless hours before your parents found out and scolded you. You smiled as you reminisced those precious memories.
"Okay, then let's start!" the girl exclaimed, laying out the cards.

"I...don't understand..." the girl whispered, dropping her cards in confusion as she accepted defeat - for the sixth time in a row.
"Me neither..." you murmured in shock, slowly laying down your cards as you stared up at Alhaitham.
"I thought you had never played TCG before??" you asked him, still recovering from the shock of him winning all six games.
"I haven't," he confirmed, finally setting his cards down.
"But...how...what...then how are you so good at it??" you jumped up, refusing to accept this.
He just shrugged, looking down. It was extremely subtle, but you swore you could see the shadow of a smirk across his face.
