Jess' P.O.V
I eventually drag myself up off of the sofa and go to my bedroom to get ready. I put on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a plain white top. I have my hair down, it's slightly wavy as I haven't done anything with it.
I pack a bag before leaving a note to my parent explaining that I've gone to Birmingham to spend the weekend at the Simpsons; I won't know if I'm telling the truth until I get there.
After an agonisingly long train journey I finally arrive in Birmingham and get a taxi to the Simpsons. I'm really starting to get nervous, a break was a bit extreme. I overreacted and I'm prepared to admit that.
I pay the taxi driver before dragging my bag up to the front door. I knock and wait nervously before Anne appears at the door.
"Oh Jess, thank goodness you're here!" Anne speaks as she pulls me in for a hug.
"I-Is Brad in?" I stutter nervously.
"No dear, he's at band practise but we can have some tea whilst you wait." Anne speaks as she pulls me inside.
"One sugar please" I smile as Anne goes to make the tea.
After Anne comes back with the tea we sit on the sofa as I stare at the cup of tea in my hands.
"Is Brad okay?" I ask.
"No, not really, he's missed you like crazy." She sighs.
"I've missed him too. I completely overreacted, a break was a bit extreme." I reply.
"It was understandable though Jess. But the break proves that both of you need each other."
"I know, that's why I'm here." I smile.
I'm the corner of my eye I notice Anne looking at the engagement ring on my finger.
"Did you take it off at all over the last week?" She asks.
"No way, I would have felt awful!" I reply.
I notice Anne's gaze still fixed on the ring so I hold my hand up so she can admire it closer.
"He did a good job choosing that ring, it's beautiful" Anne speaks as she holds my hand to look at the ring.
I then place my hand back with my other to hold the cup of tea firmly before taking a sip.
"Thank you" Anne blurts out.
"For what? I haven't done anything." I chuckle lightly.
"Thank you for making my son a better person"
"He did that all by himself" I smile.
Our conversation is interrupted as the front door opens, revealing a rather sad looking Brad; however, as soon as he noticed my presence, the light in his eyes reappears.
"I'll give you two some space" Anne speaks as she stands up and takes my cup from me before wandering off into the kitchen.
I feel the sofa dip next to me and I look to see Brad sat nervously beside me. I start to fiddle with the ring on my finger before I notice Bradley's eyes looking at my hands, a smile tugs at his lips as he notices the ring still on my finger.
"I overreacted and I panicked, I'm honestly so sorry Brad. I've had the worst week of my life. I've barely left the house. A break was not the right idea but then again it was a good idea because it proves to me that I need you Brad." I speak.
"I second that. I'm sorry for nearly beating the shit out of James. I got jealous and he shouldn't have kissed you again. It's just anyone could have seen. I'm sorry about the argument in the car as well; I tried to chase after you I honestly did. I'm sorry." Brad speaks as he runs his hand through his hair, biting his lip during the process.
"It's over" I speak.
"W-wait w-wh-what?" Brad stutters.
"I meant the break you idiot!" I chuckle.
"You really scared me there for a minute! I love you." Brad replies with relief.
"I love you too...now hurry up and kiss me"
Brad wastes no time in pulling me towards him until our lips collide.
The kiss is slow and passionate as my hands rest behind Brads head as I gently twist his curls in my fingers.
The kitchen door opens which causes me and Brad to instantly pull away.
"Well I see you two sorted things out then!" Anne smiles and I blush instantly as she must have seen the kiss just moments ago.
Brad takes his hand in mine before replying, "Indeed we have. I couldn't be happier" Brad speaks as he looks at me and gently kisses my cheek, before smiling at me, which I of course return before leaning in to give him a quick peck on the lips.
