Chapter 15

Brads P.O.V

I stared at Jess in wonder. What was the result?

Jess paused after saying my name, she then collapsed to the floor. I quickly ran over to her and gently shook her trying to get her to regain conciseness. But there was nothing. In panic I dialled Joes number.

"Hello?" Joe spoke from the other end of the phone.

"Joe, quick. It's Jess. I don't know what to do. She won't wake up." I spoke.

"Okay, I'll call an ambulance and I'll be right over!" Joe said and he ended the call.

I then noticed the pregnancy test still firmly in Jess' left hand. I gently took it from her hand. Just as I was about to take a glimpse Joe and the paramedics walked in. I immediately stood up from my crouched position and stood with the pregnancy test behind my back, I'm hope that no one would notice. I then carefully reached behind me until my hand found the draw. I then opened it and placed the test in there.

As the paramedics took Jess to the ambulance I followed. I was asked many questions on route. From both the medics and the rest of the band who followed; clearly worried.

When we arrived at the ambulance very few minutes later we were told that only one person could go in the ambulance with Jess.

"Brad you go." Joe spoke.

"But I need to go!" Becky shouted.

"Please let me go." I begged.

"Fine." Becky sighed.

I then jumped into the ambulance. The others agreed to meet us at the hospital. I held Jess' hand firmly as I watched her slowly breathe in and out. It pained to see my beautiful girlfriend in this current state; she was so pale. Something definitely was not right. And what was even worse was that because of all this, I still didn't know the result of the pregnancy test.

After a few minutes we arrived at the hospital. As I went to follow the bed Jess was in a doctor stopped me, refusing to let me in.

"No please, I need to be in there with her!" I begged. I felt the tears beginning to fill my eyes. Something really wasn't right.

"I'm sorry, we can't let you in until Miss Francis is awake and stable." The doctor replied.

I couldn't take it anymore, I kicked the wall to my left in anger as the tears began to fall. I then felt an arm on my shoulder. It was Joe.

"Come on mate, I'm sure she'll be fine!" He said.

"But what if she's not?" I asked. The tears continued to fall.

"Come on, we all need to stay strong." He continued.

Reluctantly I went and sat with the others. The corridor filled with silence, with the exception of a few trolleys passing or staff walking past. I sat staring at the wall hoping that she's alright.

After endless time passed. A doctor approached us.

"We've carried out some tests and Miss Francis has woken up. The sickness was caused by food poisoning and the reason for her to lose conciseness was due to shock or stress. Has anything recently happened that triggered this shock or stress?" The doctor asked.

All eyes were now on me. I had to confess.

"She had momentarily before taken a pregnancy test." I explained keeping my eyes firmly on the floor, I felt eyes burning at me from all directions.

"You what?!" James shouted in shock.

"We just wanted to make sure!" I replied.

"Well what were the results?" Becky asked, concern present in her voice.

"I don't know, she was about to tell me and she passed out!" I shouted in anger. "Please can I see my girlfriend now?" I begged.

The doctor then lead me in. I refused to let the others in. As the doors opened Jess looked up from her bed. She gave me a weak smile. I then ran up to her bed and hugged her tightly.

"I'm not pregnant." She whispered in my ear.

I updated because I felt mean leaving it on a cliffhanger like that!
