Chapter 4

Jess' P.O.V

It has now been two weeks since I last saw Brad, I haven't heard anything, I'm guessing he's forgotten about me, who knows? Anyway, today me and Becky are going to see McFly on their theatre tour, Becky managed to get us front row tickets which is a bonus! I decided to wear my light blue skinny jeans and oversized McFly shirt, I had my blue vans on my feet and my hair was natural, Becky was wearing a similar outfit but she was wearing black skinny jeans and converse.

We didn't have far to travel as it was at the theatre in Torquay so we left it pretty late before we left. However it was now 8:25, the concert was about to start within the next five minutes, me and Becky are pretty hyped up as we've loved McFly since we were kids, we basically grew up with their music and we are finally seeing them live! I completely forgot that there would be a support act! I nudged Becky on the arm, "Becky, who's the support act?" I asked, "I have no clue! Wait there's a support act?" She replied. "Why do you think I asked, you idiot!" We both laughed. Mine and Becky's laughing was interrupted as the support acts walked onto the stage, we couldn't see who they were yet as all the lights on the stage had been dimmed so all you could see was their figures. Then suddenly the lights brightened to show four boys, the whole theatre screamed as they realised who it was. "Hi, I'm Brad, that's Tris on the drums, James on guitar and Connor on the bass, and we're The Vamps!" Me and Becky looked at each other and then looked back towards the stage and screamed.

They sang golden, she was the one and they covered One Directions song little things, so far none of them recognised me, then Brad introduced another song. "This next song we're gonna play is an original song called Wildheart, and I want to see everyone here on their feet for this song, here we go!" Brad started to sing and this song was amazing! On the last chorus of the song Brad jumped off the stage, everyone was wondering where he was going the Brad stopped in front of me and Becky. He pulled my arm to make me stand up from my seat, he held my hand and he sang to me, I couldn't help but smile like an idiot.

After the song had finished that was the end of The Vamps set and Brad went on stage to say the thank you's and goodbyes, and the next thing I knew, the stage was empty. I tried to recall what just happened. Becky showed me some of the photos she got of The Vamps and she wouldn't shut up about how lucky I was, yep, Becky was proper fan girling right now. Whilst the stage was being set up for McFly I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, I saw it was a message from Brad.

From: Brad x

Hey! I hope you enjoyed the show;) I've missed you so much, sorry I didn't text, we were rehearsing for the theatre tour! Anyway, after the concert meet me round the back!xxxx

To: Brad x

Braaaaaadleeeeeeey! And yes I did thank you;) I've missed you too! And of course I will! See you in a bit xxxx

After sending the reply I slipped my phone back in my pocket, McFly walked on stage and the theatre echoed with screams. I can't believe I was seeing McFly live, after all these years! Me and Becky started to get emotional but we screamed our way through all of the songs. They sang some of the old songs as well as some of the more recent songs, it was amazing! Before we knew it the concert was over and everyone was piling out. As me and Becky went to leave I spoke "Becky, come with me round the back, we're going to meet The Vamps!" Becky looked at me in utter shock, "What are you serious?!" She replied, "Yeah why would I lie?" I laughed.

Me and Becky made our way through the crowds of screaming girls until we got stopped by security, great. Suddenly Brad appeared from behind the security guard, "They're with me!" He spoke as he pulled me and Becky through. I was so excited and happy to see Brad again!

He took us to the dressing room where the others were, I ran and gave them all quick hugs, they all recognised Becky too, Brad pulled me out of the room just as Becky sat next to James, she must be ultimate fan girling right now! Me and Brad were now stood in the middle of the corridor, he suddenly flung his arms around me, "I've missed you so much Jess!" Brad spoke as he hugged me. "I've missed you too!" I spoke as he pulled away.

Me and Brad looked into each others eyes like we did when we last saw each other, we both smiled at each other and he leaned in, I could feel his breath on my lips, then suddenly we were interrupted, "Ahh Brad, who's the girl?" We both instantly pulled apart, I awkwardly stood there, no way. It was Dougie, the Dougie, from McFly, I was internally screaming. "She's called Jess." Brad replied, "Well it's nice to meet you Jess!" Dougie said giving me a friendly smile, he then walked off.

"You're not very good at timing things are you?" I laughed as I put my arms around Brads shoulders, "I know." Brad chuckled as he replied. "Let's go and join the others." I said as I grabbed hold of Brads hand and dragged him back into the dressing room. Becky was sat next to James on one sofa and Connor and Tristan on the other, that just left the single seat for me and Brad. Brad went to sit on the seat and gestured for me to sit on his lap, so I did.

"So how are you all?" I asked. They all replied with goods and okays, "Can we play a game?" Tristan begged, "What game?" Connor groaned. "What about questions and answers so we can get to know Jess and Becky more?" James suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement. "I'll ask first!" Tristan shouted, he continued, "How old are you both?" He asked, "We're both 16" I replied. "Relationship status?" Connor asked, "Single," me and Becky both replied. "Ever had a boyfriend?" James finally got involved, "Yeah!" Becky replied, I kinda sat there awkwardly until all eyes were on me so I had to speak. "We'll not anything serious, only like primary school," I laughed. Now it was Brads turn to ask, "Ever kissed anyone?" Brad questioned, "Yep." Becky answered popping the 'p', again I sat there awkwardly, "No." I finally answered, "Aww little Jessie still hasn't had her first kiss!" Tristan teased, "Shut up Tristan!" I replied laughing.

I looked at the time and realised how late it was, my mum said me and Becky have to be home at 12 the latest (as Becky is sleeping over!) the time was now quarter to 11, "Guys me and Becky have to go, I'm so sorry!" I said as I stood up, as did Becky, we hugged them all goodbye and Brad pulled me outside, yet again. "I'm going to miss you so much." Brad said as he looked me in the eyes, "I'm going to miss you too." I replied as I felt my eyes brimming with tears, "Hey, don't cry!" Brad said as he wiped my tears away, "Please don't leave it two weeks again!" I laughed as we looked into each others eyes again, "I promise." Brad replied as he leaned in, his lips were just about to connect with mine when I was pulled away by my right arm, Brad opened his eyes and he looked gutted, I mouthed 'I'm sorry' to Brad as I was dragged away. "Bye Brad!" I shouted from the other end of the corridor, "See you soon Jess!" Brad shouted back.

Me and Becky were now sat on the bus, we were definitely late...I text my mum to let her know and she seemed fine about it, thank god! I took this opportunity on the bus to talk to Becky, "Becky why did you pull me away at that moment, you could have waited a moment!" I said with a little bit of anger in my voice. "I'm sorry." She replied. I was a little annoyed but Becky was one of my best friends, I couldn't stay angry with her for very long. I then turned to look out the bus window and reflect on how amazing tonight actually was.
