Chapter 3

Jess' P.O.V

Today is the day I'm meeting up with Brad, I'm not going to lie, I am really nervous. Today I decided to wear my tye dye top tucked into my blue skater skirt with my blue vans on my feet. I didn't put any make up on and I just let my hair stay natural too, I don't want to be one of those girls that plasters myself in makeup just to try and impress a boy, I'm not that type of girl.

I picked up a small bag that I could fit my purse and phone in and I walked out of my front door, I began my walk to the train station. After half an hour of walking in the sun I arrived at the train station, bought my ticket and sat on the train. Now the excitement took over my nerves I began to calm down.

Brads P.O.V

I woke up to a pillow on my face "TRISTAN!" I shouted as I got up, I looked at the clock, I only have half an hour until I meet Jess..."Tristan where's the train station?" I asked, "Why? Brad you can't go home mate!" Tristan spoke sounding panicked, "No Tris I'm not going home you idiot! Just where is it? I'm going out for the day!" I replied, "And you're not taking us?" Connor and James then appeared in the doorway, "Fine, okay, I'm meeting Jess!" I confessed. "Haha suckers! Hand me the money!" Tristan proudly spoke. "You had a bet, really guys?" I chuckled. I looked at the clock, I now only had just over twenty minutes, I pushed the other lads out of the room and changed into my black skinny jeans and white top.

I got Tris to drop me off at the train station, Jess' train was due to arrive in five minutes, I sat on a bench on the platform, within a few minutes a train arrived. I looked at the crowds of people exiting the train, I then saw Jess and gave her a quick wave to signal her over. She looked really pretty, her hair was more wavy than yesterday, anyway Brad. Snap out of it. "Hey Brad!" Jess spoke, "Hey, you look lovely!" Jess blushed so I quickly gave her a hug, we both laughed.

Luckily Tris showed me and the boys this park yesterday so I knew where to go, it was about a twenty minute walk so I used this time to get to know Jess a little better. "Where are you from?" I asked trying to make conversation, "I'm from Torbay, here in Devon, it's quite nice, it's away from the cities." She replied, still smiling. "Ahh cool, I'm the opposite, as you probably already know I'm from Birmingham." Jess laughed at my reply, "What?" I asked trying not to chuckle, "Your accent makes it pretty obvious, but I do love a good Birmingham accent!" We both laughed again.

During the walk to the park, I really got to know more about Jess, it was great. When we got to the park I bought Jess an ice cream, she tried to pay but I managed to get there first! After a while of just being sat on the grass talking we decided to go and sit on the swings, Jess spoke, "How long are you here for?" She asked. My heart sunk, I realised that I was only at Tristan's with the other boys for another week, then I have to go home. "A week." I sighed, "Oh right." Jess replied. "We'll be able to stay in contact though, we can Skype or FaceTime and I'm sure I'll be able to come here recently!" Jess lifted her head up as she smiled, "Really? So you won't forget about me?" She asked, "Of course I won't! I've only just met you and got to know you, I love spending time with you Jess!" Yeah, I noticed her blush, even if she thought I didn't!

Our conversation was interrupted as it began to rain, I stood up, grabbed Jess' hand and we ran for shelter, after aimlessly running for two minutes we found some shelter. We found some shelter outside an abandoned shop, no one was around. We stood trying to catch our breath for a few moments, Jess had both of her hands either side of my red jacket, we both looked into each others eyes until Jess looked down, she giggled and I quickly kissed her on the cheek, she looked up. "What was that for?" She laughed, "Because I wanted to, problem?" We both laughed. "Thanks for a great day." Jess spoke looking into my eyes, "It's fine, thank you too." I replied. "I suppose I better go, it's starting to get late, today has really been great Brad." She spoke a she shuffled her feet, "Come here you!" I said as I pulled her in for a hug, she had her arms around my shoulders and mine were around her waist. I picked her up and span her around, "Brad put me down!" She laughed, "Your wish is my command." We both laughed as I put her back down. "Today has been great, really great." I said as I moved my right hand from her hip to put a piece of her hair behind her ear. We were now really close to each other and we were just stood staring into each others eyes, I went to lean in but then suddenly we were interrupted "HEY BRAD!" I turned to see who it was, it was Tristan, James and Connor. Jess was clearly embarrassed so she hid her head in my chest, I could hear her giggling, oh Jess!

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" I tried to act calm even though I wanted to punch Tristan in the arm right now. "We just came for a walk, coincidence seeing you two here!" James laughed, Jess now moved out of my embrace, "Guys I need to go my train will be at the station soon! Thank you for today Brad and it was nice to see you lads! Sorry I can't stop!" Jess kissed my cheek as she ran up the abandoned street. When she was far enough away I spoke up, "What the hell guys, what do you think you're doing, you blatantly scared her off!"

"You were the one that nearly kissed her!" Connor added, "I know that, but she leaned in too, it's not like she pulled away!" I replied. "Guys stop!" Tristan spoke, "Brad we're sorry okay!" I sighed, "Fine, let's go and do some band practise."

I was gutted inside, I might not see Jess for ages unless she will meet me again in the next week, I'm still annoyed with the other but I suppose I'll have to get over it, there will be another opportunity sometime soon...hopefully.

Jess P.O.V

When I got onto the train I thought about today, it was amazing, I don't know how to feel about the other boys, I don't know if I should be gutted or thankful, gutted because they stopped me and Brad from kissing or thankful because maybe it could have been too soon or possibly a mistake to Brad? All these thoughts were spinning through my head, I decided to refrain myself from telling Becky, Amie, Dee or Fern, in fact anyone, I'll just see how things go. I hope me and Brad will be able to see each other again, just hopefully sometime soon, before he goes back to Birmingham...
