I stared at the phone for what felt like centuries waiting for a reply, but instead, I got bubbles. I let out a sigh and walked to my balcony. I leaned towards the railing, watching the dark sky twinkling with stars. It's not that I don't love Ashley I do. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Being a father was not something I expected to happen so soon, so fast. And now I'm on tour far away from Ashley and not to mention doing an album with Charlie Hayes so in a way everything is happening so fast (that's it's hard to catch up). I glanced at my phone still seeing no reply from Ashley I walked back inside my hotel room and closed the door I was about to go asleep until I heard a knock on the door. I looked through the peephole seeing Charlie Hayes looking right back at me with his hands in his pockets.

''Hello Charlie,'' I said, opening the door

''Hello Ezra'' Charlie said ''May I come in?'' he asked

I nodded and hold the door wider he walked in and looked around the room, letting to a loud whistle

''Wow'' he said ''Nice room''

I smiled ''Thanks, but it's probably not as nice as yours'' I replied

''Oh please,'' he waved the compliment off ''Just don't trash it,'' he laughed as he sat at a nearby chair. As his laughter died, a couple of silence went by until he said, ''Frankie told me what's been going on''. I nodded in silence

''You never told me she is pregnant,'' he said ''why you didn't say anything?'' he asked

I opened my mouth to say something, to explain, but then I quickly closed it because what else was there to say? I never told anyone because privately, my life is already public everything I do or say, the world would know within seconds, and for once, I want something that is mine and not the world's. But how could I say something like that? Without being considered selfish?

''We was working on the album'' I find myself saying ''And I didn't want to get distracted''

Charlie nodded ''But you're having a kid, so it's the perfect time to get distracted.'' He smiled yet his eyes were sad

''I figure I can just do the album first and then focus on the child'' I said

''Ah'' Charlie said ''So you had a plan'' he let out a chuckle ''And how's that working for you?''

''I know it's not working well but I-''

''You know you remind me of when I was your age,'' he started ''I was married young at the age of 25, except everybody in the label, my manager, even my mom told me not to get married, especially to her'' he laughed ''But I didn't care because I loved her and she loved me and together we can do anything. Besides, I had just finished recording my first album at that time, so I figured I had all the time in the world to spend with her. And I did we'll travel across the globe and shared a lot of laughs until she was pregnant at the worse time, right when I was recording my second album and heading off to a world tour that was going to last for a few years. We argued nearly every day, yet I kept reassuring her that I would be there for every birthday, every holiday, and every annoying after-school activity. Until I looked around after my 4th tour, I saw my two handsome boys being nearly your age moving out and living their life under my dime, and my two beautiful girls were questioning their life decisions. And the love of life left after the boy's 5th birthday and married somebody else,'' he sighed ''The point is with somebody with your life, you'll always think you have time, you'll have a plan, and it could magically work out, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way, or in the way, you'll hope.''

''So what do you suggest I do?'' I asked

''Talk to her better yet, catch a flight and see her'' he smiled

''I would do that, but I don't know where she at,'' I said

''She's in L. A staying with her mom'' Frankie said, exiting the suite next door

I sighed ''Frankie, and you heard our conversation?'' I asked

Frankie shrugged his shoulders ''Your walls are thin'' ''I already made calls, sent a few texts to your staff, and I booked a flight in the morning'' he smiled, grabbing the remote

''How did you know where she is staying?'' Charlie asked

''I asked Marry, and she told me,'' he said, flipping through the channels ''Oh, and I called the maid from the apartment and told her to stock up the fridge'' he settled on a cartoon ''Did you tell her to get Sprite?'' I asked

Frankie nodded ''And Mountain Dew, the blue kind and not the original.''

I smiled ''Thanks Frankie''

Frankie nodded

'Wow'' Charlie said getting up from the chair ''You mates really are a pea in a pod''
