Wednesday POV

I stare at the ceiling listening to the silence that fills the halls and my room. Unlike normal it is unsettling. I want to see him yet can't bring myself to get up and walk over there. I stand up and then right back down. I start to think of the things that he said to me throughout the year, and one seems to linger longer than the rest.

"What's to like?" Does he care now? Because I think I do. I now stand with zero confidence but more determination than ever. I must know what he feels. Has he found something to like? I walk across the very thin hall and stand at the foot of his door. I sigh. Knock. Knock. Knock. I place my fingertips on the door and slightly hit it. The door then swings open. He smirks and I feel warmth enter my cheeks. It is unusual and somehow comforting.

"Wednesday?" he says quietly. I snapped out of the stare that somehow landed on his eyes.

"I need to ask you a question." I say. He nods.

"Shoot," he says.

"That night at Nevermore... I had broken  into the Nightshades library... and I was meeting my Uncle Fester there... but you were there. I... we got into an argument... about whether you were..." I paused, I don't want to cause anymore tension then there already is, so I skip over that tiny detail. "and I said that you haven't killed me yet, because for some unexplainable reason you seemed to like me." He nods yet I can tell that he knows where this leads. "Then you responded with a few simple words that for some reason have wrecked my brain. "What's to like?" Then you gracefully walked out of the library without another word." I say. He smiles lightly.

"Gracefully?" he laughs. I scrunch my nose.

"Not the point Xavier. I need to know...Why did you suggest my home to stay at... if there is nothing to like?" I say. He can tell this is driving me mad and I think he enjoys it. He smiles.

"Because... I was wrong Wednesday Addams. Everything about you is kooky and perfect." He says. I smirk.

"Including that little smirk and your want for no-one's attention." I can't help but let my smile grow. I look down at my platform shoes. Suddenly I feel his hand on my chin. He lifts my face back up to his and smiles.

"Wednesday Addams. Will you do me the honors and let me take you on a date?" he says with the biggest smile on his face. I nod unable to form words. His smile is unwavering as I walk out the door. I close the door behind me and lean against it slightly. Dang it. I turn back around and knock on his door once more.

"One more thing? Do you have Enid's phone number?" I ask and he smiles.
"Yes." He walks around the bed and picks up the small device of the nightstand. "There, I sent it to you," he says. I nod.

"Thank you."

"Eight o'clock, don't be late." he says. I smirk as I turn, closing the door and walking across the hall. I shut the door quickly behind me and fall onto my bed. I turn and grab my phone off the charger. I open the messages between me and Xavier to find Enid's number. I click on it and call her.

"Hello?" she answers.

"Enid? This is Wednesday." I say.

"Oh my gosh... I can't believe that you are actually calling me... on your own cell phone."

"Enid... I have important and possibly exciting news. So please shut up." I say and she goes silent.

"Me and Xavier are going on a date." She screams. I pull the phone away from my ear so as to not cause bleeding.

"You and Xavier are dating????" she says excitedly.

"I said we are going on a date... not that we are dating. But I have to admit though I thought it would never happen to me. I think I like him." I say.

"Oh my gosh!" she squeals. "What are you going to wear?" she says.

"I am not sure..." I say.

"Well I want pictures." she says. "But I have to go... dinner time here in San Francisco. Call me tomorrow with more details."

"Okay. Goodbye Enid." I say and hang up the phone. I sigh as I set the phone back onto the charger and stand walking towards my closet. I opened the small black wardrobe. I look at variations of the same boring dress... black with wite detailing... black with black detailing... and so on. I then think of something that may forever haunt me. I walk down the steps and to my parents door. I knock on it lightly and my father answers.

"My little death-trap, what is it darling?"
"I need to speak with, mother... please?" He stands back and Morticia rises from her chair.

"Yes, my dear?"

"I have been asked... asked on a date... and wanted to see if we could get a... new outfit?" I say pausing every few words to get the sentence out. She gasps.

"Of course honey... I will get my purse." she says and then I dread my decisions already. She calls for the car and we are taken to the mall leaving the house and my now crush behind. I stare out the window and hope that this will be quick and simple, but with mother, I doubt it. We enter the first store and I walk back out. Too much color. I walk down the street to the next one and see a simple black dress in the window.

"Mother... I found it. But it needs something." I say she smiles. "Add some tights and pair them with your platforms. Sounds similar to what I wore the night your father and I met." she says and for once I am not opposed to matching her. I walk into the store, I buy the dress, a mock collar, and a pair of spider web tights. That seems girly, and Wednesday enough for a date. I suppose. But how would I know I have never been on one. I walk down the sidewalk and to our vehicle when I catch a glimpse of the person walking bye. He turns back and I shudder. Tyler is out of the cell.
