Piper Lancaster
I stayed another night in that damn room. Miss Dawson wouldn't let me leave. She ordered me to stay in bed until further notice. Luckily, Mr. Mona let me call my mom.
"Are you okay? I've been worried sick! I know you needed space honey, but going all the way to the Mona pack, is not exactly a bright idea! I almost went and called your uncle! Could you imagine the war that could be going one right now? Ugh you are going to be the death of me." My mom screeched across the phone. It's like I can still hear the yelling. I told her about how I summoned magic and grew claws all in one weekend. How I have been sick and practically on my death bed. She then proceeds to tell me she is on the way and hung up. I had to tell Mr. Mona that my mom was on the way, and he rushed one of the boys to go find her before someone else in the pack does. Miss Dawson gives me more medicine, and I slowly drift off to sleep.
"Honey? Pipe? I need you to wake up." I hear my mom's voice. But it sounds so far away. I try to go back to peace, hoping that the pain from my illness doesn't wake me up, but the voice doesn't go away."Piper. Wake up." The voice said more firmly.
"Miss. Lancaster, she still needs sleep. Her body is-"
"I appreciate your advice Miss. Dawson, but since you have never dealt with a witch, I ask you to let me do my business. She's my daughter, for Rhina sakes. Piper!" She yelled the last part and my eyes fly open. I sit up straight in my bed. I can feel my mom's arms wrap around me.
"Oh Piper. Are you okay? How are you feeling?" She says against my ear, squeezing the life out of me.
"I will feel a little better if I could breathe." My voice says strained. She let's go immediately and takes my face in her hands. I look around the room, and I am surprised that almost everyone I've talked to is here. Except for a face I don't know, who I assume is Jamie. Miss Dawson still has her hand on mine, concern lacing her eyebrows. The rest of the group look stiff, like they are holding their breath to see what I do. I hope nothing because I can feel my body light up like a bonfire. I notice Owen shuffle back and forth in the background. He is the only one that is not frozen in place. Why is that?
