Luffy ❥ Are We Still Friends?

He couldn't believe it. The girl that he felt a connection stronger than love, was now working against him. Was this another Robin and Nami situation? Maybe there's a reason for all of this. Yeah! There's no way she's doing this on her own will? He had to find out, even if it meant beating the reasoning out of her.

'I don't know what he's doing to you and I don't want to fight you, but I have to save Ace! And if I have to fight you, I will!'

The admiral that stood a few feet away chuckled, and tilted his cap downward, shielding his eyes. 'I don't know why you keep trying, Straw-Hat. She can't hear you, she won't listen. My word is absolute, if I say kill your brother; she'd do anything to carry it out. Even if she has to die doing it. She will listen to me!'l

'Shut up! You don't know anything about her!'

'And you do? You didn't even know she was my daughter' Luffy stared at the man with nothing but hatred, he wanted to kill the man right then and there, but a familiar voice called out to him.

'Straw-Hat! Galdino finished the key! Get to Ace, we'll cover you!' Buggy called out, waving the key before tossing it over to the raven haired boy. Luffy smiled and began making his way over to Ace. 'Oh no you don't!' Akainu spoke, inching towards the boy, before he was stopped by Whitebeard and his crew.

'Go! Go save Ace! We'll also back you up'

Each time he got closer to Ace, there was somewhere trying to stop him, but there was someone also to back him up. He had completely lost track and sight of (Y/N), she wasn't on his mind at the moment. Saving his brother was the only thing circulating his empty mind. He was beyond ecstatic when he finally got to his brother, with no one there to stop them.

'Luffy! You really came all this way, thank you!'

'Save it for later Ace, I still have to get these cuffs off of you and get you out of he—'

His sentence was cut short when he see a sword pierce through his older brother's body, making large amounts of blood pool out of his pale body. His eyes were big like saucers and Ace's were starting to lose its color. His black eyes trailed to the woman standing behind him; whose eyes were low and emotionless, holding the sword that killed his brother.

'Mezameyo, tsumetai mono yo!' (Awaken, cold one!)

The woman was now out of her trance, able to see what transpired. Her mouth was dry and her eye's watered; she did it. She let out a blood curdling scream before she passed out; from the horror in front of her. She had killed her boyfriend's brother.

Two years later

She could never forget that day, no many how many times she tried. And her father wouldn't let her forget it either. He would boast about it when he forced her to eat dinner with him at his house the government paid for, and when the paper was dropped off in the morning; he always read it to her in the most gruesome way. He was cold and heartless, she hated her father. She wanted him dead. She'd have nightmares about it constantly, remembering the blood that stained her hands as it slid down the sword, the size of Luffy's eyes after realizing what she did. She couldn't forget.

She tried to distract herself with exercising, and sword training. Which helped for a short while, but it didn't ease her pain. She needed some closure, she had to go see Luffy. She knew he would be back at Sabaody, along with her friends/shipmates, after the war he let them know when and where to meet; hoping they would all be strong enough to adventure some more. She needed to see them all, but mostly him. She wanted to apologize and tell him everything. She had to.

She managed to escape her father, stealing a marine ship and setting her course to sabaody island to see her friends one last time. Before she stepped foot in the bubble island, she made sure to not stick out. Her once fiery red hair, was now dyed jet black and longer than it was two years ago. She put on her shades and clutched her napsack that sat on her shoulder. But, at she walked along the island to try and find the sunny and her friends, she couldn't help but feel like everyone was staring at her.

'Shit. This isn't good' (Y/N) thought, glancing through her peripheral. Inching deeper into the island, avoiding everyone's gazes, her eyes caught onto the orange hair of the crew's navigator; Nami. Using the shave technique, that her father unfortunately taught her, she was able to catch up with Nam; who was accompanied by Usopp and a fluffier Chopper.

'What the–'

'Huh?!'

'(Y/N)?!' The three of them were shocked after being taken so quickly, but even more shocked to see their friend. The three of them slowly stepped away from her, they heard the news of what happened and were frightened. Was she really their friend?

'I know you probably don't trust me, and I understand. But, please let me explain this to all of you. Especially Luffy, he deserves to know the truth'

'I don't know...I'm kind of skeptical about you'

'She's our friend Usopp!'

'Is she Chopper?' Nami said with a cold look planted on her face, earning a frown from the girl that stood a few inches away from them. 'Please, just let me explain. Take me to the sunny'

The rest of the crew gathered on the sunny, eyeing the daughter of an admiral. Her palms were sweaty, she hated feeling like this and hated them for making her feel worse than she already did. They were all waiting for Luffy to show up, hoping he doesn't reek havoc on the thousand sunny.

Hearing his squeaky voice come closer, her stomach swarmed with butterflies. It was no doubt that she loved him still. When the captain of the ship landed onto his beloved ship, his usual happy mood quickly changed. 'The hell are you doing here?'

'I'm here to explain everything Luffy, I never wanted this to happen. I'm so sorry Luffy!'

'I don't want to hear it! Ace is dead because of you! You killed my brother! I don't want you on this ship and I don't want you in this crew!' His voice held so much anger; and she knew he meant every word.

'Luffy! Just wait a minute—'

'No, it's fine Nami. He doesn't want me here and I don't want to be somewhere I'm not wanted. Have fun you guys; make sure he becomes the pirate king, okay?'

And with that, she left the crew.
