Anthea Heracles. Daughter of Megara and Hercules. One of Auradon's very own Goddess'. Well, at least that's what most of the students at Auradon Prep thought.

Anthea had inherited both her mother's strong will and need to do things on her own and not be rescued by a big strong man, and her father's strength which only fueled the strong will she got from her mother.

From a very young age, the girl was trained by her father and his former mentor, Phil, in many different styles of fighting. Anything that the two older men thought could be useful for Anthea to know, they taught her. Martial arts, hand-to-hand combat, sword fighting. All those types of things.

And at the same time, she was being taught by her mother how to be a strong and independent woman. Megara would teach her all different kinds of skills, and she'd teach her how to solve her way through any problem, whether that be mentally or physically.

By the time Anthea was fourteen her parents sent her to Auradon Prep with her best friend, Harmonia, the daughter of Aphrodite. And god, did she hate it. It was full to the brim of prissy princesses' who were obsessed with their looks, and snobby princes' who thought that women couldn't do anything besides sit there and look pretty.

Anthea and Harmonia spent a whole year in that school and didn't even try to make friends with anyone. The other girls would try to talk to them, minus Audrey, and ask how their hair was so flawless or how they had such clear skin but they would just ignore them. And a few of the guys had tried to ask them out on dates, and Harmonia would go out with a few, and never commit, however Anthea rejected every single one of them. The only person that they would have even considered some form of friend would have been Benjamin Florian, Adam and Belle's son.

The only good thing that Anthea could say came out of her first year at Auradon Prep was the number of clubs she joined.

And then, a week before his coronation, Prince Ben had made his first proclamation. He decided that four children from the Isle of the Lost were to be given a chance at living a normal life in Auradon.

He even picked them out himself. He chose the four that, in his opinion, 'needed the most help'.

Those four were Carlos, the son of Cruella DeVil, Jay, the son of Jafar, Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, and Mal, the daughter of Maleficent.

All the students, and even parents, at Auradon Prep were incredibly hesitant to let the four kids in. The four were pretty much shunned by everyone, only a few daring to even talk to them.

However, something about the four intrigued Anthea. Especially Mal. She liked how the four were able to be themselves and didn't worry about fitting in. They stood out, but not necessarily in a 'good' way.

Anthea was the only person other than Ben who actually talked to the VKs out of their own free will, and that confused the four new kids. Usually, everyone at that school would run away even at the mere sight of them. But for some reason, this girl didn't.

In fact, she did the opposite.

On their first day at the school, during lunchtime, the young goddess made a point to walk straight up to them and start a conversation with them. She definitely got a few weird looks, some by other students and some by the four that she was sat with, but she just ignored the looks and continued talking to them as if they weren't the children of hers and the other students parents' sworn enemies.

The four villain kids were hesitant to talk with her at first, but once she sat there and just talked to them for a little while, they decided that she wasn't as awful as they thought she would be, and thought that it wouldn't be that bad to have an acquaintance there other than Ben, because god forbid that they actually had heroes for friends.

Anthea was ecstatic when the four began talking to her more. She really just wanted to make them feel welcome, even though she was the only person with that view. And she eventually managed to get closer to the four and find more things out about them. However, one thing that confused the young goddess is that whenever she mentioned her mother or father, she noticed that Mal would slightly tense up. She really had no explanation for the girl's actions but decided to brush it off.

Eventually, Anthea introduced her new friends to her other friennd. And although Harmonia was hesitant at first, she soon welcomed the four with open arms.

They all became good friends during the villain kids' time there, they would hang out every day and always joke around with each other, but the four new kids did always seem a bit secretive.

And then the Coronation came around. With the whole Jane stealing the wand, and then Mal stealing the wand, and then the four VKs choosing good, and then Maleficent showing up, then Maleficent being turned into a lizard, you could say that everyone had an eventful night.

And many of the Auradon kids believed that the story ended there, and that there would be no more trouble.

But boy, were they wrong...

Chapter one is finished!

This is more of a filler chapter just to introduce Anthea and basically just describe her relationship with the VKs and what kind of role she would have played in Descendants 1.

I really hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter, please let me know what you thought in the comments, I'm open for any suggestions or improvements!
