(Y/n): Finally home. It was fun to go out, but I am beat.

I take my shoes off and leave them at the hall. we both head towards my room. I stretch my arms as I allow myself to fall down on my bed, shoving the plastic bag under the bed as I do so.

(Y/n): so what do you want to do now?

Dell: How about you rest a bit, I have to change anyway.

(Y/n): Okay, sure thing.

I close my eyes and listen. as the sound of footsteps faints into the distance, I sit back up and grab onto the bag again. I quickly take the price tag off before hiding it ones more. I hope he will like it. But I'm almost guaranteed he does. Tf2 might be a first-person shooter, but its a damn silly one when it comes to cosmetics. People make tons of meme's about it or fanart with some of the hats. I can see why. some are hilarious while others are just cool. this one, however, is special. it shows off engie's personality so well. It really gives him that Texan look. my eyes fall on the

(f/c) new 3DS xl on the nightstand. I pick it up and decided to kill some time with (favorite Nintendo game) for a bit until dell had returned. I didn't even notice him enter the room as I'm too focused on the game. I jump a little when dell lays a hand on my shoulder.

Dell: oh sorry (y/n). id dint mean to startle you, I just wanted to ask what you were doing.

(y/n): t-that's okay. you didn't know.

I eye him up and down. he is wearing one of the new outfits I bought him. Its a lumberjack like a shirt with some simple jeans and the belt.

(y/n): You look stylish.

Dell: Ow shucks you flatter me.

(y/n): But there are still one thing missing.

Dell: What do you m-

I take the bag from under my bed ones more. dell raises an eyebrow. he is curious as to what I bought. I remove the hat from the bag. his eyes widen in surprise when I place it on his head.

(y/n): that's for you.

dell: Is this A Texas Ten Gallon?

(y/n): Well not exactly, but it sure does look like it.

He looked in the mirror.

Dell: You bought this for me?

He asked as he turned around to face me.

I nod in response.

Dell: You didn't have to. I like this hat, it reminds me of my days at Red. so thank you very much.

But would ya do me a favor young lady? please quit buying so much for me. Don't get me wrong . I do appreciate it. but I like to give you something in return for it as well. Until now you are the only one who does things for me, but I should return the favor as well.

(y/n): hey. I'm giving you all that stuff because you needed them. And I certainly don't expect something back. I'm helping you because you need help, not because I want something in return.

Engineer: still.

(y/n): it really doesn't bother me.

Anyway, let's talk about something else. would you like to play (favorite Nintendo game) with me?

Dell: what's that?

(y/n): a video game.

I rummaged into the drawer of the nightstand, only to take another 3ds xl out so we can play together.

Dell: sure I like to give it a shot. don't expect me to be good at it though. I never played anything like this before and I have no idea what this device even is.

(y/n): don't worry, I will explain everything you need to know and i will go easy on you. otherwise, it isn't fair at all.

I flipped the 3D switch. dell jumps.

Dell: what the!!

(y/n): you can play the games in 3D.

Dell: that might be?

(y/n): it's 3 dimensional. So it has depth and some things pop out at you. but if it makes you feel nauseous we can play them without the 3d mode.

He softly hummed. In understanding.

(y/n): Ok so you move around with the circle pad and-

Short time skip. Ones the technical side was explained I moved on, telling him more about the game itself. what genre it is and what the characters are called and what the story in the game is. then I start multiplayer and so we spend the next hour playing the game. off course, dell ended up dying/losing most of the time. but he didn't really care. he still enjoyed himself. the longer he played, the better he got.

Dell: How did I never even hear about this. It's fun. Do you have more of these games?

(y/n): yeah a bunch.

I opened a drawer, only to reveal all kinds of games for the 3ds, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo switch, play station, X-box and pc games.

dell searched through everything. His eyes scan each box, reading some of the descriptions on the back if its available in English.

eventually, he came across the orange box. With of course the tf2, portal and halflife cover.

Dell: well I be doggone. that's one of my team members. it's Heavy.

Or rather was... he was part of the team.

His smile soon fades.

(y/n): please don't be sad. I'm sure they can call, or even visit if we give them the address. At least you did exchange phone numbers, right?

Dell: they have the one from my mobile.

you really ok with that? I mean, them coming over sometimes. the guys can be quite annoying and loud.

(y/n): of course, i'm fine with it. I would like to meet them.

Dell: thanks (y/n).

(y/n): you're Welcome

We both smiled at each other as we spent the rest of the day playing games.
