My mind went quiet. all the fog has been lifted.

Dell: I can't leave you here. So you're going to live with us. Only if you want to, of course.

(y/n): Yes of course! It would be amazing to come along.

I hugged him tightly. he happily returns it.

Dell: I love you too darling.

(Y/n): oh I have to ask my parents for consent. and then I have to tell my Family and Friends.

I run off, after a few minutes I returned.

(Y/n): looks like I'm going with you!

Dell: that's great young lady!

(Y/n): I'll go pack my stuff.

I walked off again.

Dell picked the phone back up as he dialed the doctor's number again.

Medic: hello

Dell: hey partner. Sorry I had to hang up on ya. (y/n) walked in. i wanted to tell her first. So buy another plane ticket for me will ya, now that I have her own, and her parent's consent, she will be coming with us.

Medic: zhats amazing kameraat! I'll inform zhe rest.

We Regroup on 11:00am at zhe 9th gate on zhe airport.

Oh und by zhe way, I have asked miss Pauling and she can add her into the spawning system. so if she wants to be part of zhe team, she can.

Time Skip

my parents drove us to the airport.

Mom: I'm going to miss you so much, dear.

She gave me a hug. tears stream down her face as she does so.

(Y/n): c-can't breath. ..

Mom: sorry hon.

Dad gave me a hug as well.

Dad: we will keep in touch.

(Y/n): sure thing. I will call you guys and I will surely come back to visit during the holidays.

I waved them goodbye as we walked into the airport. Dell takes my hand as we make our way to the gate.

Dell: Are you okay (nickname)?

(Y/n): yeah. But I'm sure going to miss them. and I will miss this country as well. and to be honest I am pretty nervous about joining Red. I have no idea what I can do to help you guys. What if I'm not good enough to be a mercenary?

Dell: I'll ask miss Pauling if we can visit ones in a while. And don't worry about the rest. we are professionals. we can train you. Sure, it will be hard. every beginning isn't easy. but with practice and a little time, you will be great at your job. I promise you that.

(Y/n): you're a real sweetheart Dell.

I kissed him on his cheek.

He blushed.

Dell: don't tell the others that I already told you we hire you. it was supposed to be a secret surprise.

I nod. He looked up at an information board in the main hall.

Dell: aw shucks that time already. We got to hurry.

As we arrived at the gate the team was waiting for us. Welcoming us with open arms.

Medic: welcome to zhe team frauwlein.

I smiled.

Medic: not yet but if you want. We have a contract for you.

(Y/n): really!

I act surpriced.

miss Pauling has made some room for a new mercenary.

the others chuckle as we board the plane. Dell and I take a seat up front. the other team members sit close to us. Engie smiles. he takes my hand in his own and gently squeezing it. I smiled at him before I look out of the window. "everything will be different from now on." I close my eyes, keeping the pleasant thought in mind. after a while, I got comfortable in my seat.

my head rests on Dell's chest as I listened to his heartbeat. I close my eyes and drift off at the soothing sound of his steady breathing.

And that's the story about the beginning of my new life as a mercenary.
