It had been  whole decade since most of them had seen each other. Some friendships began to rekindle, others remained the smothered out flame it had been reduced to over the years.

Dreams and met goals were shared while those too far were hidden, but the thing that was of the upmost importance was the spark that had once again ignited the love for a certain IT Department head from one whose dream connected those through communication. The green eyes watched the once lanky figure make its way to others. She sighed as her eyes followed him to the other side of the room.

Time continued to pass and before she knew it, the night was almost over. She gathered every ounce of courage she had and walked towards him. When the two of them finished school, they had ended as friends, so why was she so nervous? She led him outside to a bench. A shiver ran down her spine, not just from the nerves but also from the swift breeze that laced the night. As emerald eyes met chocolate brown ones, she began to speak. "There's something I need to get off my chest." She whispered in an attempt to stay calm. "What's wrong?" He asked, his voice peeking with concern. "I love you. I have for many years." He looked away from her and sighed. "If only you would have told me earlier, we could have been something great, but I have moved on now. " He said awkwardly. "I'll see you around." He said before leaving her alone with her thoughts. "I figured, I'm just ten years too late." She whispered as she walked away, leaving her past behind her.
