It can happen to anyone. A like grows into an interest, which turns into a passion, and finally becomes the danger of an obsession. In this it became just that. He didn't realize it until it was already a raging fire. This was not what was supposed to happen.
He blamed her, because without her in his life. This wouldn't have happened. Hell, he didn't even notice her until the week before graduation. If she had just kept quiet for one week more. She wouldn't be in this situation and neither would he.
He would have been a normal person. He would have been interviewing for his dream job instead of sitting behind the wrought iron and the update of a security system, worshiping the bloody lock of doe brown hair he took as a keepsake from her body, and she wouldn't be in a wooden bed six feet under if she would have just accepted his offer.
He had wanted to start his life with her. Wanting the 'I do's and starting a family. She refused and so she had to be punished for resisting, for her disobedience. It was her fault.
"May she burn."
He whispered as they injected him with certain death.
