He loved the girl. He loved how she made him smile. But he was now losing her. Bleeding to death. She had been shot, the bullet just narrowly hitting her heart. She already had multiple cuts on her. She had been missing for half a year now. Her kidnapper leaving her to die as he made a run for it knowing the police would be there soon.

"I'm so sorry. Just hang on for a little bit longer. Keep your eyes open." He could hear sirens coming his way.

"I can't, I'm just so tired."
The girl had wounds on both her arms, her legs weren't in much of a better shape. All her wounds were infected and it was the middle of winter. The girl must have hypothermia. She had no chance of survival and he knew it. But admitting it would make it real.

"You can't leave me alone."
"I wish I could stay,"
"Please I need you. I just found out I loved you."
"I'm sorry." The girl was now breathing heavy, shallow breaths. The sirens were only a few blocks away.
She gives one last request. "Please just make the pain go away. Finish me off. Don't make me suffer anymore." She gives him a dagger. "Please. If you love me you'll let me go."
Tears pooled in his eyes. "I can't... I can't lose you... I can't live without you."
"Please..."
He lifts the dagger up and plunges it straight through her heart.
"Thank you," That was her last words. He watches as the light fades from her eyes. Soon he rips the dagger free from her body and turns it on himself.
He pushes the dagger into his own skin. "I'm sorry," His  apology meant for his friends and for his parents. "I just couldn't and wouldn't live without her."
The ambulance pulls up to the scene as his world turns into nothingness.

They were both declared dead at the scene.

The End.
