Finally, the classes have dismissed for the day. I dashed on my way out of the classroom but stops as I realized something. I almost forgot about the vision I had earlier!

I stared at the school bus. In any moment once it leaves, it could crash into a fucking truck. Anxiety flooded all over me and I couldn't decide whether to ride it or not. But since I don't have any other options of how I could go home, I went in our school bus anyway.

The ride going home have been fun for me for the past years since it means I could finally get out of hell...I mean school and rest in the house with my dads. But this time was different. I couldn't stop worrying about what might happen to us during the accident.

I was horrified when I saw the vehicle that was in front of our school bus is a huge container truck! I couldn't help but panic. I looked back and forth and around, having the hopes that I'd find something that'll save me from the accident that's gonna happen soon.

And there it goes. The traffic light turns red. The driver of another huge vehicle that was behind our school bus was drunk so he ended up accidentally crashing into us, which made our school driver panic and also crash into the truck in front of us. The impact was so strong that I fell off my seat. I saw other students stumble the second before everything around me went black.

"NEXT TIME, YOU SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL AT DRIVING! ALL MY PASSENGERS WERE JUST YOUNG KIDS!"

"YoU'rE tHe OnE wHo ShOuLd Be CaReFuL, MoRoN!"

"Sirs, please no fighting here. Let's instead go and check if the condition of any of these poor children were alright."

I could hear various adult voices talking with each other. What the hell just happened?

"I'm glad none of these kids have died."

"Yeah but sadly 3 of them were injured."

I secretly prayed that I wasn't one of them as I tried and open my eyes. Surprisingly, I don't feel any pain. I somehow got up and stood up. All of the other students were either sitting or lying down the bus seats, wearing worried and scared expressions on their faces. Near the doors of the schoolbus were about 2 nurses and a bunch of other adults. Out of curiosity, I went near them to check if I already died or not. Oh gosh, I don't wanna die on my very own birthday!

"Hey kiddo, are you feeling anything painful in you?" asked one of the nurse who saw me.

I shook my head. Inside, I felt very relieved at the thought of being still alive. But it's weird to think how the hell was my body acting like as if the accident was nothing.

"That's good to know! Now go sit down. There could be some kind of little injury in you which could lead to infection over time."

I did what I was told to do. The 2 nurses then did a little examination on me.

"You're very lucky, lad!" announced one of the nurses. "All of the other students here have atleast one minor dislocation or fracture. But you seem all well!"

"Wait what?"

"It's indeed a miracle he doesn't seem affected by the accident at all," said the other nurse.

I looked at myself and then into the mirror of the school bus. At first, my reflection seem very normal but then suddenly, I saw my eyes turn slightly orange and the pupils in my eyes seem to have disappeared. Scared that the mirror might be cursed, I quickly looked away.

I arrived back home, feeling quite flabbergasted of what happened earlier. My dads came and welcomed me at the porch and let me in. I marvelled at the sight of balloons and the colorful confetti scattered around the living room. Huge letters were displayed on the wall, spelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANNY". There was also a pair of balloons shaped like number 1 displayed beside the letters.

Robin wiped his tears of my joy. "GREAT HEAVENS! YOU'RE SO GROWN NOW! YOU'RE NO LONGER MY LITTLE BABY..."

"Hush now, Rob," said Harry as Robin dropped himself on him, still shedding tears of joy. "Everything that is little grows big over time. Manny is an example here. Remember back then when he was still a small baby?"

"That time was tragic! We were left to no choice but raise him here, away from the danger. Every time he cries, I somber at the thought of a baby looking for...I just can't explain!"

"Hey dads. Is there something supposed to happen to me today?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Well, it's a big surprise," replied Harry.

We went to the table where I saw a very tasty-looking green cake displayed there along with other food. Robin lighted up the small candles that were on the cake and I went near the cake. I really can't wait to taste my birthday cake!

"Happy birthday to you! Happy to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday! Happy birthday, to you!" Harry and Robin sang in unison while they clapoed their hands on beat.

I closed my eyes, preparing to make my wish.

I wish for about 3 things! 1st is to be able to discover all of these secret abilities I didn't know about yet, 2nd is to become a superhero! And 3rd is for my dads to be always safe, alive, and well

That's nice, sweetie!

I got startled when I heard Robin's voice speak in my head. He's looking at me, smiling.

Be careful about accidentally communicating telepathically with other people, ok? added Harry's voice in my head.

Oki daddy! I replied telepathically.

(A/n: if you ever sexualize this innocent sweet moment I'll wish for your death on my birthday bitch /j)

I happily blew all the candles out. Some of the frosting flew but we didn't mind and we instead chuckled. Even though there's only the 3 of us celebrating my birthday, I somehow enjoyed it. Afterwards, my dads led me into the full-body mirror I barely looked at.

"Look how much you've grown, Doi," Robin said happily.

I looked and smiled. I indeed have grown a lot! Harry got contaminated by the happiness Robin and I were feeling. Suddenly, I felt quite scared as I noticed my eye color change from green to shiny lemon yellow.

"No it's alright," assured Harry. "When you grow quite even more, your eye colors will start changing more frequently according to your mood and the flow of..."

"Shhh!"

"Sorry-"

"Since today is my birthday and I'm already 11 years old, can you guys tell me some secrets I need to know, now?" I asked.

"Some of them are you're gonna discover tomorrow but the rest, they'll be revealed when the time comes," replied Robin.

That night, I lied down my bed. I don't seem to want my birthday to end yet, at the same time too excited about tomorrow as I would know some of the secrets my dads seem to be hiding from me. I wonder what are those secrets? Do they have a connection with all the strange abilities I'm having like seeing the future and telepathy?

The next day, I went to school, groaning about the fact that I'll be facing the week-long torture again. At the same time, I feel very excited to discover my secret identity now that I'm already 11. Everything was alright until during the 2nd class period. I hold my head as I felt the throbbing pain once again.

Out of nowhere, I saw my school being invaded by terrorists holding guns. Some students got injured and there were dead ones as well. The rest were hiding for their dear lives and I was among them.
