Chapter five how you got closer (part 2)

A FEW MONTHS AFTER

Loyalty, devotion, and preserving the peace of this country. That's what the shadow company stands for.

The whole company warmed up to you right away. They let you in into their little "family" you never had siblings you, nor did have present parents. But this felt real you felt safe and protected by them. You always had their backs on each mission no matter what, helping the best you could even thought it wasn't that helpful..

There was one night when you guys went out that, some of the guys including strolls especially got onto a table and started to dance as if they were in a cheesy 90's movie. It was hilarious best part is the dancing wasn't all that bad. But then strolls fell and got a concussion... though it was times like this that really made you happy and feel at home. You wouldn't change them for the fucking world.

"Y/n you're doing a great job and we are all very happy to have you here, right boys?" Graves made a short but sweet toast as you guys sat in a loud restaurant enjoying your day off together.

"Hell yeah we are!"
"More than happy we are thankful!"

You couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed and thank God it was a dark lit space because if not they'd be able to see you blush a bit and that would give them a chance to make fun of you. "We'll I love and appreciate you guys!" You said raising your glass for a cheer, all your glasses tipped each other. "Some more than others right y/n?" Strolls nudged at you, he knew you had a thing for one of the guys or maybe it was just a hunch but he was definitely right you did obviously care for one more than the rest and he was so enchanting. He was starting at me from his seat no one else seemed to notice, even you pretended not to notice you couldn't look him in the eyes it was miserable being around him because when you were all you could think about is what would your future look like? Does he care for you the way you care for him or is it just some cheep flirting he does with every girl when he as the chance.. it drove you insane thinking about the endless possibilities the one that hurt the most was there was nothing at all and you were just drowning in delusions. Who crushing could be so annoying, so time consuming and itching.

"Are you guys ready to head back or?" Graves asked all of us looking around at the men who clearly weren't ready.

"Just a little more sir, if you want you can get going we'll be back soon right boys?" All the soldiers agreed so graves got up payed the bill for the food and looked around to see if anyone was coming with him.

"I think I'll be heading back as well guys, good night!" You announced getting up walked towards graves standing behind him as he nodded to you walking out the restaurant.

"I know you came with strolls so I can drive you back to base. No need to call and Uber or what not." He muttered a bit.

"Oh really?! That's perfect thank you so much sir." You gave him a smile as you got into the passenger seat.

"Philip, you can just call me Philip." He didn't look off the road but you could still see a slight smirk on his face.

"Alright than, Philip thank you it's very sweet of you."

"Mhm don't mention it."

"So what you said in there.. how you care for all of us.." he paused

"Yeah?"

"Even me?" He turned his head slightly with a raised brow.

"Especially you! you're the whole reason I'm even here in the first place I'll always be so grateful for that." You responded to him with a soft smile.

THE REST OF THE CAR RIDE FILLED WITH MUSIC AND WHATNOT

He guys ended up in his office that lead to his room, finishing up some of his work and just talking you got up to pour him a drink he asked for, you place it on his desk then hop onto the desk crossing your legs and leaning towards him.

"You look very pretty tonight." He mumbled just enough for you to hear.

"Thank you, you looked pretty good yourself"

He got up from his chair and stood right next to you, leaning on his desk legs next to him. You turn to face him a bit better. You guys just look at each other, none of you speaking a single word he leans in forward grabbing your chin lifting you head just a bit. "Y/n can I kiss you." He wasn't truly asking he just needed you to conform you were alright with it. He needed you to say yes. His eyes basically begging for it.

You just nodded too caught up in the moment.

(Now the chapter I promise WILL be spicy and whatnot... I made this very rushed I'm very busy with finals and I currently have a lot of stress on me so please bare with me 😞🫶🏼)
