My Dream 12-13-22

❗TW❗: Please remember that this is a dream. By no means is this real. And further along, there is a bit of a gruesome part.

The world was burning. Everything was broken. Buildings were completely demolished, except for the lucky few. Trees lost their leaves and all other plants had no sign of life. It looked like we were in the middle of an apocalypse.

The only "real" people, besides myself, were two friends of mine (I'll give them the names of Katlyn and Jayce), My partner, and my music teacher(for some reason). Everyone else, from what I knew, were in a zombie-like state. Even the animals were "turned" in this outbreak.

There was no food or water, so we all went to find some. We all ended up in a store. It wasn't recognisable, the outside was disheveled. Cars still in parking spots.

We all kept walking, eventually making it into an isle, or what it looked to be. I grabbed a few things, and so did the others. We walked into another isle and I saw my mom. From what I could make out, she seemed to be looking for something. I went up to her and reached out my hand, asking her if she was okay. She turned to me, her eyes looked bloodshot and her skin a ghostly pale.

Then, she ran at me, knocking me to the ground. Frantically, I looked around and saw a knife lying not too far away from me. I hated what I was thinking, but I knew what I had to do.

Now crying, I said a plethora of "I'm sorry" or "please forgive me" before I took the knife and stabbed her in the chest. It was only then, when she came to her senses. I had her head in my lap now. She told me "It's okay, it has to be done. Just know that I love you and hope the best for what's going to come."

I took the knife and stabbed her again, and again, and again. The last form of an emotion I saw on her face was a loving smile. The one I always love seeing. She was covered in blood, though, it wasn't the normal red. It was blue, her favorite color.

After this happened, I just wanted to go home. I was devastated, she was my mom after all. I got up and started walking, the others followed. 

Just as we were about to leave the parking lot, I noticed something in the sky. I told them to stop and look too. This "thing" looked scarily similar to a pop-up window in a videogame.

This pop-up opened fully and there were words on it.

From what I remember reading, it said:

Congratulations!!
You have completed the tutorial.
It must have been hard, but you all managed.

Then, under that, there was a smaller box. On this box, it said ~LEVEL 1~
The 1, then, switched into a 2.

We were all enveloped in this white, sparkly mist. One by one, we started disappearing. The order went: my partner, (Jayce), (Katlyn), and my music teacher. Lastly, it was me.

As soon as I disappeared, I woke up.
