All Characters from the first god of war games return as ghosts in connection with Berenice and not real life bodies! They only encounter her because of her short spiritual trip, so they're all dead spirits connected with a living spirit. Ok? Ok...
There are many fan theories about what happened to the Greek underworld and spirits of the gods after what Kratos had done but in Wikipedia and wikis I've figured out that NO, not 1k years have passed. Approximately, 150 years pass from the moment Kratos leaves Greece to the point where he reaches Midgard, according to Wikipedia information. I have created my own theories about what happened to the Greek world and I tried to collect them as much sensibly as I could but do not try to attack my opinions if you don't agree because any theory even mine could be just non true at this point. Let's just all be friendly with each other in our own theories. If I see any comments arguing about the Greek world end up I'll delete them cause it doesn't really matter at this point, it's just my fan theories taken considering the articles of wikis and Wikipedia that help the plot.
