Three days later...

It was for certain, expected that nothing would be the same after that day, when Berenice revealed everything to her father in the worst possible way. From that day forward Kratos and his daughter behaved each other like strangers in the house. They did not exchange a single conversation. But they did exchange a few looks that said it all without having to speak.

Berenice looked at her father with complaint and anger at the same time. Eyes open and sincere and lips tight shut. With that same look she kept looking at him, although most of the time she did not even want to make eye contact. Either she would not look at him, choose to talk to the others, or get herself busy with something else.
Internally, things were worse for her. Her selfishness and her resentment were torn within her. On the one hand, maybe she did regret some things she said and did. Maybe she behaved with recklessness and disrespect. She should not have told him the truth in this way. But this behaviour of his, brought her fear. This is where, he was not right.

And as if all this was not enough already, the nightmares continued. All of them taking part  same place, the same burning village with the same dead everywhere. The same nightmare, the same horror.
Even if there is a part of hers that knew it meant something, at this point she did not want to know. It was more reasonable for her to believe that it was all in her head.

For Kratos, though, things were even worse. He could not respond properly to his son demons either. He might be looking at his daughter with the same, stoic look that he gives to everyone, which is as if it is now painted on him, but within him the same chaos prevailed. Same disturbance.

From the moment he realized that his daughter went to the Underworld of Greece and met the ghosts of his own past, he could not help but surpass his limits of sane, at the idea of what she might have learned...
She certainly knows about Athena and maybe about Olympus. But what else does she know? Does she know about his past as a leader? Does she know what kind of general he was? Does she know what happened to the pact with Ares? How much is she still hiding from him?
He knows very well that he did not react in the proper way. Berenice was not to blame for his own actions, even if she should have told him beforehand. Grabbing her arm and yelling at her face was not the way to go. Maybe Berenice did not behave properly either, but at some point, it was as if he lashed out at her for his own guilt. He never is the one to easily admit he was wrong or apologise.

He did not speak a single word to her since that day. He feared to open any type of conversation. He could see how she was looking at him. She was frustrated and angry. That is why even if he saw her walking outside of the house, he did not interfere. He was just letting her. Maybe, taking a few walks would the house may clear her mind. Not that he had any intention of talking to her but then again, he preferred to let her get some fresh air.

Atreus and Mimir naturally tried to keep the atmosphere more lively and favourable, as well as breaking the monotony inside the house. But neither Kratos nor Berenice continued not to speak. The best the two of them could do is just give them both some time. After all, despite their fight they remained true to their roles. Kratos growled just as before and Berenice, was left alone facing Atreus and Mimir.

Today, after everyone in the house has woken up, they are getting ready to do their responsibilities and duties.

Kratos is getting Atreus ready for yet another hunt and Berenice tidies up the house as usual. It is Mimir who keeps the atmosphere alive and without monotony, while the others around simply follow his mood as best they can.

Atreus gets his bow and quiver prepared for hunting, while Kratos prepares his blades and axe, before handing Mimir from the table.

Berenice is standing across the table and like every day she prepares lunch for her brother, so that he will have something to eat on the way. She wraps some buttered, baked bread and sausages in a cloth.
