Neo
I walked into the cold kitchen barefoot, still in my pajamas, I opened the pantry and grabbed some cereal. I plopped down on my couch in front of the tv and turned on the news. I grabbed handfuls of cereal and shoved it into my mouth Spice clawed and whined at the balcony door. I sighed and got up to let him out on my apartment balcony. The news anchor droned on about the rise in electric car sales. I opened the fridge and grabbed strawberries. My landline on the wall rang, I answered it.
"Hello? This is Neo speaking."
"Neo." The cold voice on the other end whispered my name. I knew that voice anywhere, It's my boss Mr. Anderson. No one but him knows his real name. Everyone just calls him Mr. Anderson or Andy.
"Andy, do I need to come in?" I say matching his tone
"Yes, in fact a call just came in for you. Someone requested the best for this job, and nothing but the best."
I smirked to myself, Spice watched me with that knowing look. He knows when I smile on the phone like that it's my job. "Let me get dressed and I'll be over there in less than an hour." and with that I hung up without waiting for him to respond.

I pulled into the driveway of the building and scanned my card.
When I walked in with tights and a leather jacket with my hair back in a ponytail I earned myself a couple eyerolls from the newbies and some eyebrow raises from the older agents. I took the elevator up to Andy's office and walked in. I know I'm the best agent here and Andy tells me almost everyday, no need for knocking at this point.
He sat in his chair smoking and looked very intrigued at his computer.
"So where's this lucky fellow who's having his problem dealt with the right way?" I said walking up to him with my arms crossed.
"Ah Neo." He checked his watch. "You took 32 minutes to get here." He leaned back in his chair and smirked.
I rolled my eyes.
"Well that's less than an hour isn't it? And I said I'd be over here in less than an hour." I wondered what he was playing at this time.
"The person requested the best to take care of a man who's been on his nerves ever since grade school." He said, passing me the file of my next kill. I opened it and looked it over.
"Really? He requested the best for this amateur?" I said in disbelief.
"Neo please, he may be an amateur for you but he's willing to pay more than most. I wouldn't want to disappoint him for the first time, would you?" he said, and leaned forward and tilted his head. After a pause I finally said,
"Alright I'll do it. Where is it and when?"

I flashed the guard my ID and strutted in the night club like I owned the place. Once I was in I made a beeline for the bar, and hoisted myself up on the bar stool. "Wes, where's my favorite buddy?" I said with a cheerful tone in my voice I only use with Wesley.
"Neo!" Wesley turned around and flashed me a smile.
I was glad the club only had strobe lights as I felt my cheeks flush.
Just to be clear I'm not in love with Wesley. I just have a special connection with him. We met in high school and he has always supported me.
"I'm glad you could come," he said in his English accent.
"Me too, too bad it's because I'm here to kill." I practically whispered the word "kill". I always take extra precautions when I'm on an assignment not to let my identity slip which is why the only romantic partners I've had were in highschool.
"Well how about you go kill whoever or whatever and then chat after, how does that sound?" Wesley suggested it to me.
"It sounds like a good idea. I'll try to be quick and efficient." I said walking off with a smile before I disappeared into the crowd.
A few minutes later I danced in an outfit that made me look like I worked there as a dancer. I danced with the guy I was going to kill. Wes had asked the DJ to blast the music louder so it would be easier for me to cover it up.
I swayed my hips around him with my fingers tangled in his shoulder length hair. He was obviously drunk, I could smell the booze on him. Leading him to the edge of the dance floor I positioned my hands on his neck and twisted as hard as I could.
End.
