Nicholas opened the door and proudly walked down the stairs "hey everyone we're home!" Ember followed him and closed the door behind her.
Nicholas entered the main room where Bethany sat comfortably on a bean bag chair.
Once she saw Nicholas she squealed and jumped up and ran over to him "yay! You did it!" she squealed as she hugged him excitedly.
Bethany hopped away from him and tucked a strand of dirty blond hair behind her ear, "I knew you could do it!" she said as she ran into the other room, most likely to get the rest of them.
"Hey Ember did it too!" Nicholas called after her.
Ember walked up to Nicholas with her arms crossed.
"I don't like it when she does that" Ember grumbled beneath her breath but just loud enough for Nicholas to hear.
"What's that?"
"Nothing"
Ember looked at the wall which was covered in posters, Nicholas walked into the other room where he heard (mainly Bethany's) excited whispering.
"Hey, what's going on in here?" he asked.
Bethany turned to look at him and smiled serenely and Garold crossed his arms, meanwhile Blake was holding a large cake smothered in chocolate frosting.
"We were so happy that you made it this far without getting caught, sooooo..." Bethany said with a giddy laugh. "We stole a cake for you!"
"You stole a cake?!" asked Ember as she walked into the room.
"Today was only our first day"
"It's the hundredth day in my heart!"
"Bethany..." grouched Garold with a wince
Blake set the cake down onto a table and Nicholas smelled the heavenly aroma of chocolate cake.
"You didn't happen to steal this cake from my bakery did you?" asked Ember.
Blake shook his head "naw of course not"
Ember narrowed her eyes.
Garold grabbed a dagger sitting on the table "to the future of the Drainers!" he said as he raised the knife.
"Aw we should have gotten some champagne" whined Bethany.
"Save it for when we have actually achieved what the Council wants us to" added Ember.
Nicholas walked into the tent, the first day of actually doing the bounties! With help of course.
He stopped in the supply room and grabbed all of the supplies that Koi had told him to get, he hooked all of the stuff to his belt.
Wait... where do I find the bounties again?
Nicholas looked around the room, maybe they're on my wristwatch?
He pulled up the main page on his wristwatch.
A dull thud was heard from the doorway, Nicholas looked over to see Koi who had dropped her backpack on the ground.
She glanced at him and turned to her wristwatch.
"Hey- do you- know... how to- uh-" Nicholas stuttered as he pointed to his wristwatch pathetically.
"How to find the bounties?" she asked with a raise of her brow.
"Yes"
Koi walked up to him and he held out his wrist, she placed a hand on his wrist to steady his shaking arm. She tapped on the inbox and pulled up the first comm.
