That was the end.
Cameron had won, the hilt of a knife protruding from your stomach as you felt, the warm red liquid spill from the wound. Leaving you to bleed out Cameron dropped you to the floor, he left the blade in your abdomen, as he fled from the building.
You felt tired, despite the sharp pain spreading throughout your body. Your eyelids felt heavier than they ever have before yet you fought back against your drowsy state, struggling to keep your eyes open. Blood continued to spill onto your hands, your body almost frozen.

You sat there for what felt like hours, but was only a few minutes, until a ding of the elevator seemingly startled you awake. Using the little strength you had left, you tried to stand from the bloodied area but to no avail. You felt useless, you were going to die here, having barely done anything to save yourself.

"Y/N!", A voice yelled rushing to your side. Being met with a familiar face you smiled slightly.

"Hi Rosaria", you whispered. At least you got to see her one last time, yet your heart ached at the thought you were leaving her alone in this world.

"Godammit Y/N!", She yelled panicking as she pressed her hands to your abdomen attempting to stop the bleeding.

"God! What do I do? I'm not letting you die here Y/N", she rambled. As if arguing with you coming to terms with your death.

Grabbing your hands she pressed them firmly against the wound causing you to wince in pain. Rosaria stood pacing slightly, you blood staining her hands as she looked at your slowly dying body panic evident in her eyes.

"You're a med student what do I do?! Do I take the knife out?!", She continued

"No. Do not do that", you replied weakly
"Look Rosaria I've lost a lot of blood, even if we did call an ambulance I'll be dead before it arrives", you admitted, feeling your end was nigh.

You could see the tears in Rosarias eyes, as you slowly died. The two of you knew that there was a final alternative, but you could see the restraint from Rosaria, fear clouding her mind with the risks.

Leaving you alone in the hall for a moment Rosaria disappeared to the bedroom, despite your weak calls begging her to stay. Returning in a few seconds Rosaria firmly pressed a piece of fabric to your body, carefully avoiding the knife. Your blood slowly stained the fabric, Rosaria holding it there for a moment longer before leaving once more.
This time returning with a bag filled with blood along with a transfusion needle attached.

"Ok... Where do I put it?", She asked gesturing to the needle with blood that could potentially save your life.

You gestured to your arm, barely being able to form words anymore. You saw Rosaria give you a quick nod of understanding followed by the feeling of a prick in your arm. The blood flowing from the bag into your veins, an attempt at restoring your life.

Throwing your arm around her shoulder Rosaria lifted you from the ground using her other hand to keep pressure on the wound. She guided you to the elevator, only for the two of you to run into another familiar face.

Her usually stoic expression replaced by one of shock and terror. The two of you joining her in the elevator.

"Y/N! Rosaria! What the hell happened!?", She questioned seeing the knife sticking out of your abdomen.

"No time to explain. Here hold this", Rosaria answered then handing Jean the bag of blood, keeping you alive. Once outside of the building Rosaria and Jean carefully placed you in the car Jean staying at your side keeping pressure to slow the bleeding while also holding the blood bag.

Driving at speeds way higher than what was legal, you quickly reached the hospital. Stumbling through the doors with Jean and Rosaria, everything felt fuzzy. You were awake, yet not fully conscious, their voices sounded like they were underwater. The doctors face guiding you to the nearest room was blurred.
You could barely feel your legs carrying you to the hospital bed, or the needles being stabbed into your body to keep you alive.

Laying there, slowly dying. You could make out the look of pure fear on Rosarias face as she held your hand tears spilling from her eyes. Before losing consciousness you could just make out the words.

"I love you", being spoken by the woman at your side.
.
.
.
Awaking to the sound of beeping, you glanced around the industrial white room, your eyes still heavy. You took notice of the bunches of flowers decorating the room, standing out against the plain white walls. You felt a hand take yours the familiar coolness of their touch pulling you to meet their gaze.

"Hey. How you feeling love" she whispered placing a gentle kiss to the back of your hand her thumb caressing your skin in a loving manner.

"What's going on?", You questioned trying to sit up only being met with a sharp pain in your abdomen.

"Take it easy. You nearly died a few nights ago"

"A few?! How long have I been here?", You asked shocked by the possibility, that yesterday was more than a few days ago.

"Three days now. After the amount of blood you lost, you body fell into shock", she replied answering your questions. A doctor now entered the room, giving you a quick smile.

"You're awake. Your very lucky to have survived thanks to your girlfriend here", she spoke. Her words causing your heart to skip a beat, Rosaria didn't even flinch at the comment, making no move to correct the nurse as she checked your vitals. Scribbling them down on a clipboard.

"Everything seems in order. Once you feel well enough the police would like to speak with you and your family has been notified", she added before leaving the room.

Hearing those words you turned your phone back on seeing all the messages and missed calls from your parents along with calls from Rosaria, Jean and your housemates. Your finger lingered over your mother's caller ID, you hesitated. Not sure why but you did.

"I'll give you some privacy", Rosaria whispered kissing your forehead leaving the room for you to call your mother. After a few short rings you were met with the sounds of your mother yelling for your father.

"Hi mom", you whispered out hearing your dad joining your mother on the line.

"Y/N. Thank god you're ok honey, your father and I were worried sick. We got a call from the hospital saying you were stabbed", she rambled panic obvious in her voice.
"How you feeling kiddo", your father added to the conversation

"Yeah. I did, but I'm ok now, I'm recovering", you continued attempting to ease their worry.

"As soon as that term is over, your coming home Y/N. Its torture not being able to see you now", your mother continued, the sound of her voice bringing a slight tear to your eye, You could just make out the sounds of your mother's crying over the phone.

"I'm alright mom. I promise. I'll be home as soon as I can" you continued attempting to reassure your mother.

"We can't lose you too Y/N", you mother added reminding you of your brother. The whole reason you're studying medicine.

After a few more minutes of conversation with your parents you finally convinced your mother to hang up and you'd stay in touch with her. Quickly sending out brief texts to your friends you returned your phone to silent once more as Rosaria returned.

"Is everyone else ok?", You asked remembering the reason Rosaria had left that night in the first place. Your question seemed to stun Rosaria, your heart throbbed with worry for what her answer may be. You noticed a brief flash of pain and anger behind her eyes as she hesitantly answered.

"We lost Miko"
