Light, bright light. Hospital? The girl opened her eyes but immediately squeezed them shot again. After managing to open them a tiny gab, her eyes spotted a boy sitting next to her. His feet kept tapping the floor as he hecticly chewed on his nails. The sound of his teeth biting them was basically impossible to not hear. "Maejin" Minho sat up straight "Are you okay?" She slowly blinked looking up at the ceiling "I really thought I was gonna die" she confessed. And she said it as if it was nothing "Don't say that, you weren't gonna die. You collapsed... but what really happened?"He remembered everything. Images immortalized in his head, the scared look on her face, she seemed like she was loosing her mind. The tears, the fear and the pale face. She obviously overworked herself and didn't eat properly. But there was more, she was hearing things, disturbing ones probably.
She closed her eyes remembering every sentence that she heard. Who was it she heard? What was wrong with her? Depression? Thoughts she tried to block out? Minho placed his hand on her forehead which brought her back to reality. Suddenly her stomach growled "what I thought" he reached down to the floor picking up a bag from McDonald's "Here eat something please. And drink. You used your erergy up"
Her mouth already watered at the sight of food as she with no hesitation grabbed it unwrapping everything. She breathed out in relief as she took a bite from the burger, Minho couldn't do anything else than sigh. But he was thankful that she didn't collapse on the street or anything.
She ate up and drank the last bit of the vanilla milk shake. "Thank you" she mumbled "do you feel better?" Maejin nodded "this morning..." she started "I think I... I think I saw my dad" she finally told him. He was already assuming it, but hoped she'd proof his theory wrong. "What are you going to do?" He asked "Obviously I won't see him again. He was just a tourist or some since he asked me about some street he couldn't find. I'm not willing to face him another time" she said "whatever I'm okay now" she removed her blanket "forget it" Minho pulled her back down "Don't act tough. You obviously don't feel okay. Get yourself checked please, when you feel better we can talk about everything again" he told her.
"I'm honest with you. I feel good now, I was just a bit overworked", "right that's why you'll stay home for 1 or 2 days now" He insisted "no way I can't afford that", "you can. I called your chef, he is okay with that" He pulled the blanket back over her "what? You have no rights to do that Minho" she complained "oh I do have, seems like you can't set limits yourself"
"I wanna help you okay, the doctors too. So please tell them everything, I know that you aren't doing okay even if you say so", "Minho" she whined "please let me go. I said I was just a bit overworked" he clenched his jaw "I know it's hard, okay? But I won't stand there and just watch how you slowly end up like I did. Not happening. I need you to not only share things with me or whoever, but with people who can actually help you observe them. I know you are trying to ignore, but some experiences immortalize themselves into your memory, but you aren't alone" she hated the way he was talking to her, like she was mentally ill. She didn't feel like that, she never felt like she needed help. She was doing okay and can handle things on her own. Never someone should tell her what to do no more.
Just before she wanted to say someone a doctor approached her "Miss Shin. How are you feeling" he questioned "well", "seems like you collapsed. I would offer you a good therapist, if I'm not mistaken. I could only assume that you might have a few inner disturbance from what I heard of your friend. We checked you thoroughly, it has to be something from deep inside" he explained "I'm not sick, sorry to say but you have to be mistaken" she stood up as Minho pulled her a bit to him murmuring "Maejin please don't make a scene and just give it a try okay? You can leave if it doesn't help you" he sounded caring but also quite annoyed of her behaviour and denial.
