It was Monday, which meant work again. Maejin left her door and to her surprise at the same time as someone else. She awkwardly avoided eye contact as she nodded to him which he returned with a thin smile. Well at leat they don't ignore each other anymore.
She began walking as Minho did the same. "How did you sleep" He suddenly asked walking down the stairs "uh yeah well... and you?" She just returned the question "mh good" Minho obviously wanted to continue the small talk but didn't know how "do you have a break at work?" He questioned "yeah 2 pm why?", "you wanna go grab a coffee?" Her eyes sort of widen at that as she opened the door to outside.
She held it open as he walked out too "uh... yeah why not" Minho couldn't quite hide his smile about her agreeing, he was honestly kind of concerned about asking her in first place. "Do you still work at that one Café?" She questioned "yeah...", "and what do you mainly work as?"
"Promoter, well mainly just as assisting even though there's nothing much to do. They still want me to learn a lot, to work right" he explained "Oh interesting. Who do you promote for?" He cleaned his throat "doesn't matter actually, what about you?" He returned "ah project manager, but I just finished my studies so I'm pretty much at the beginning" she explained "oh wow then you must've started right after what had happened. But you really seem to work hard, it's noticeable. Just don't overwork yourself" he told her "don't worry, I can handle that"
They arrived at the bus stop as Maejin was about to sit down "oh the bus must come in few seconds" Minho mumbled looking at his phone "well I guess we walked slow" suddenly someone grabbed her wrist which made her flinch and immediately turn to the side.
"Hyunjin?" She questioned which made Minho look up too. He seemed all serious or mostly like he just saw a ghost "what is it?" Hyunjin spotted Minho "Maejin we need to talk-" He interrupted him "the bus is coming" Maejin faced it, then Hyunjin again with concern "Let's talk later okay?" She wanted to walk forward because the bus was already opening its doors but he didn't let her go "no we need to talk now, otherwise it'll be too late" he almost whispered. She faced the bus again, she can't allow herself to come late. Not in those times where she has to prove herself.
"Hyunjin please" She mumbled as he looked down and slowly let go. His phone started to ring "it's too late now. You and Minho need to go okay? Please, you only have today left" she switched in between his both eyes as he suddenly started to almost run away. She looked after him with an speechless and confused expression.
"Are you getting in?" The bus driver asked which caught her off guard "ah yeah" she hesitantly walked inside staring forward like with a face that seemed like she just escaped death. Minho took his bag down signaling her to sit next to him "what happened?" He questioned "That's weird" she tilted her head "what?", "he said we should go away and that it would be too late now" Minho thought for a second considering something that might seem weird "why didn't you let him talk to you?" He asked "I don't have time, I thought it wouldn't make a difference talking later", "call him" she nodded taking her phone out.
"Wait I wanna listen too" she faced him unsure "it's something about me too, if he's mentioning me" she agreed taking her headphones out so he can listen too. She turned her phone on "wait... shit", "what is it? Why isn't it going on?"
"I forgot to put it on the charger last night" Minho sighed placing his head in his hand "give me his number" he turned his phone on as his lock screen popped up. "Wait" Maejin mumbled. It showed the picture he took of her picturing the sky at the sea, he immediately turned it off "It's not like that" He defended himself "I found the sky pretty thats all, it's a coincidence you were in it its not my fault you stood there", "woah calm down I wasn't going to say something about that, I didn't even notice" he blinked a few times "but since you said it..", "no.. let's just keep going"
